These people are using the name Hometown Productions.  They are driving us crazy with phone calls at work even though we told them we do not want to advertise with their company.  We took an ad out last year, never received a copy of the publications, the receipt didn't match the charge on the credit card and they were a nightmare to deal with.

We just encountered the same company under a different name. 'Premier Impressions'.
When I finally talked to them they told me a little about the way they advertise for businesses. I explained it is just me and my spouse and we are not wanting to be a big business...she kept talking and I finally said that it migt be okay but I have to talk to my partner (my spouse) first. She asked me a couple questions, but I did not give any credit card numbers or any billing info. We decided with the economy the way it is, it would not be practical. We got a letter in the mail and a short time later a package from this company. We did not open it, we called them to find out where to mail it back and they said my company is bound to the contract and will have to pay. I said, no, I never signed anything, they said you gave us your birthdate and that is saying you agreed to the contract.

Same problem as the other people. Big Scam...

The people called and said they were working with our county to put out magnets. These magnets were supposed to be mailed out to all residents and then I was supposed to get 50 free, well I got my 50 free but I paid $209.50 and have never seen one in my mailbox. If this is indead a scam then I know of a few outhers on the magnet that got scammed also. Just today some 2 months after the first call I recieved a call and I told the lady I was not doing this again since I have not seen that they were mailed to the community and she said hold on let me check and I will call you back...guess what? I never got a call back. Humm, well since today is Friday I am going to have to wait but I am going to do some checking and see if the county knows anything about this and I might even call the other businesses on the magnet and see what they say.

I received a call from this number on Mon Apr 12 2010, claiming to be from Warren County Magnets.
I received an invoice on Sat 17th asking me to sign for magnets advertising my home business which I have in the local telephone directory.

I wrote on the invoice that I did not want my name on anything nor did I want any magnets. And do not harass me over this.

I tried to call the number on the invoice but got no answer.  I mailed the invoice with my note on it back the same day(Sat 17)
Tuesday I received a call from them, saying they wanted to offer me a discount.  I again told her I did not want any product from them.  At that point she told me she would send my account to the collection agency.  I hung up.

This company absolutely will NOT leave me alone!!!!  I have told them numerous times to get my name and our company off of their list. And they assure me, "Oh yes, we have you down as not wanting to do anymore advertising, but this is from the last time that we spoke to you." This is ridiculous.  I KNOW for 2 years that I have told them to get us off!  I mean, how long does it take for our "current agreement" to expire!  I refuse to pay these people a dime more.  I've told them that if they continue to send these any more money!!!  And they are certainly not getting our credit card information!  Of course they told me that they would continue to call to collect the money.  Let them turn us over to a collection agency...I really don't care!
