You know who called so why did you look the number up?

Tried to get information regarding my Amazon Prime account. I called Amazon my account is fine. It is not compromised as stated on the call. It is a scam call.

Caller identified as being from Amazon, saying that fraud had been committed and my "account" (which I donot have) has been placed on hold. I was directed to return this call, supposedly from Amaon Fraud Hotline. I have not responded.

Why would you come here looking for an address, when they have a web site to do that?  That makes no sense!

I just looked up the number and here is their website where a normal person would go.

Send a cancellation letter to the address in the link I posted above. You can cancel your Synchrony/Amazon credit card by calling the number at the back of your card.

This number keeps calling me, I won't answer and they don't leave a message.

Claimed to be Synchrony bank regarding a purchase I made on Amazon that did not go through because the account details for my payment were invalid and they offered to let me submit a new payment while on the phone with them. Funny thing is, that purchase has already shipped and it was paid for with my Amazon credit card that is linked to my account. There is literally no way they could have the wrong account information on file. When I checked my Amazon account, there is no indication that the payment was rejected. This was a SCAM CALL. I'm mainly concerned about it because they knew the detail of that purchase, ie the date and amount of the purchase. It makes me think there was a security issue either with Amazon or the company I ordered from.

My mom got a call from many Amazon employees. They automatically end the call when she asks them "Do you have any other phone numbers for customer service?" She found out that it was a scammer pretending to be an employee.

It's Synchrony Bank. If you have an Amazon credit card, they're one ones who underwrite it.

Calm down.
