??
Why do you want the caller to keep calling you?
Are you really that lonely? - Walter replies to Bill| 1 replyI called the number back and told them that I have no computer in my house and they have the wrong number. The man then insisted it must be on my iPhone or iPad and I told him that I don't have any of those in my house. And he hung up.
- WalterAfter having them call my house 3 days in a row and leaving messages on my machine I finally called them back to mess with them. The gentleman barely spoke English and insisted I had a security breach on my network. I told him there are no computers or any type of electrical devices in my house. He then hung up on me.

Have you considered obtaining a call blocking device, app, or phone? Google (or your favorite search engine) IS your friend!
Realize that the Do Not Call list is NOT a call blocker!
Here are some tried and true methods for reducing or eliminating repeated spam / scam phone calls: Click on the Info link, below, to see themInfoWant to stop repeated telescam phone calls?
Try these alternatives:
1. Do not answer the phone if you see an unknown number on your Caller ID ... let it go to answering machine or voicemail. Many telescammers hang up after three or four rings.
2. If you have a smartphone, get one of the inexpensive or free phone blocker apps at your online app store, and learn how to use it.
3. If your cell is not "smart", read the manual to learn how to set up a "group". Assign the scammer's phone number to that group. Also assign a "silent ring" to that group. You will not hear your phone ring if that number calls you again.
3a. Alternately, assign a "silent ringtone" as the DEFAULT ringtone. Then, assign your favorite ringtones to friends, family, contacts, businesses, etc. That way, you will not hear your phone ring, even if the scammer changes numbers! (Disadvantage: if you forget to whitelist somebody, you won't hear their calls, either)
4. For cell phones or landlines: Contact your phone service provider. They may have a facility or method to allow you to block numbers.
5. If you buy things online, you might want to google "phone blocker" to see what devices or apps Amazon or other sites have to offer for landlines or smartphones.
6. DO NOT call unknown numbers back without checking who called (800notes is your friend)! All that does is verify your number is "live". Instead, read this:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/one-ring-cel ... ing-your-wallet
7. Consider picking up the phone, then immediately hanging up. A "real" caller will usually call you again, within seconds. A robocaller will not.

Please reply to this post, on 800notes.com, to let us know you read it, or have taken suitable actions to protect yourself. - Diana N.received a call saying there was a breach in security on windows on my computer
- Call type: Prank
- StaceyI called them back and pretended to be doing all the steps they tell me. I was making up responses that the computer was giving. I spent almost 20 min with them before they got upset and hung up.
- Frankie GContinuously calling stating they need to fix my computer problem. ask to be removed from their call list, they said they can't do that. If I ignore the call, they leave voice mails. I have started calling them back and messing with them, but really want them to stop calling.
- Caller: Pitney Bowes
- Elisa replies to Slim| 1 replyYes, you can block their number, but then they change whatever number they're spoofing and a new number calls you! I'm on my third blocked number....
- Tracey replies to WalterI am getting the same calls from the same number. It is an automated operator. Security Breach. Did they ever quit calling after you called them back?
- Pigman replies to ElisaI don't think their number is spoofed. Calling back a spoofed number usually results in a disconnected number.
When a caller is using a spoofed number the message left would give you a different number to call back.
I called this number using my Google phone number and the Scambags answered the phone. - Tracey2u| 1 replyI have been getting a call from this number at least 3-4 times a day. It has been going on now for a couple of weeks now. It is an automated operator saying..."Their has been a Security Breach on your Operating System that we installed last year. Call the number as soon as you get this message.
How do these callers know that we even a computer or pad, or tablet, etc. I am not going to let anyone into my my computer or anything of that nature. I think they have phone setup to automatically call. It's ridiculous.- Caller: Scammer
- LoriSame recorded message. Thank you everyone for reporting these calls!
- Pigman replies to Tracey2u1st off Tracey2u, they don't know if you have a computer, pad, tablet or anything. Chances are that they don't even know your name. They load a bunch of phone numbers that they have acquired into a computer and push the GO button. Some unwitting dupes will fall for this, call them back and let these Sambags have there way with the dupe's computer.
I too have been getting many calls from these @holes and I have not decided how to deal with them. Blocking or forwarding their number just doesn't work for me. I think I will harass them for a bit and also report them which I normally don't do. If the governmental powers to be cannot trace who owns this number then Trump should disband the DNCR and get the FTC to do something for a change, like call the number in question and trace the call (to Nigeria). How easy is that???
