    Just got a call from this number at 2PM on the dot. The automated message (a woman's voice) claimed to be calling about our Sunoco credit card being upgraded to a new rewards card. However, it never stated my name nor did it give the option to speak with a live representative.

    The message actually recommended that we destroy our current cards immediately, since they will supposedly no longer work. Then, if we need new cards, we should call them back and they'll be able to reissue them

    But anyone who has credit cards knows that's not how they do it. You keep your current card, then shred your card after you activate the new one.

    This has all the signs of being a scam call, someone trying to get a credit card numbers. I have not, and do not intend to, call them back.
