866-639-2335

I received a message from a local area code with a message to call 866-639-2335 today or a Class C Action Felony Charge would be brought against my adult son.  When I called the 866 they act is if it's strange that you have their number and say they never make calls out from this line and then ask how you got their number.  they play as if they are puzzled and put you on hold.  Then come back on the line saying they are attorneys that have been hired by the company that's tried to collect on a debt.  They act helpful in reducing the owed amount from thousands to hundreds (but only if all or half the payment is made by today - within the hour due to them being back east and closing time).  I said I needed to call my husband and would call back.  I then researched this site and all the comments that go along with A & D Litigations other phone number 844-386-5038 and learned that its a scam.  So I called them back and asked them for THEIR email and said the  Fair Debt Collections Practices Act says I have 5 days after receiving "written" notice of debt.  So I asked if they could email me something in writing with THEIR name and the debt company's name and all information.  He said no he can't send an email or a letter and he's NOT HOLDING this any longer then the hour.  He said he could send a email signature document that I could sign for payment but a payment would need to be made within the hour.  I assured him I wouldn't be signing the document but that I wanted to review it as I have the right to do.  He said he would send it but that I had one hour until back East time was closing.  I again assured him I wouldnt be making any financial decision with an hours notice.  I never received an email and I'm sure that I won't as this is a SCAM.
His name he went by was Steven Presscot.  Funny how this and the other phone number under A & D Litigation have predictable attorney's last names like Presscot and McCoy.
