A previous responder is correct.  It is United Health Care but your caller ID will propbably read "Toll Free Caller."  If you pick up, a recording will identify itself as "United Health Care with an important message for____ (your name)."  It will then ask you to say your name and then your year of birth.  All in all it sounds like the typical scam that will try to get further private information. If you call the number back, a recording will idetify itself as United Health Care and will again ask for your name and date of birth.  As one should, I refuse to give out information to random callers.  If you phone United Health Care at the phone number ON YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD you can ask them to put you on their "do not call list."

Thanks for the information.  I think that is what this number was.  This number called and said everything that you described in your post.  This was a legitimate call because in our case, it was reminding the United Health Care member of a prescription that needed to be refilled.

Caller ID says "800 Service".  We use United Health Care, so this is possibly a legit call for us, but it is totally unprofessional of them to not use a caller ID that properly identifies who they are.  I am blocking the number.

I've done that and even have a confirmation # and they still call incessantly. They are contracted with a federal program so their shenanigans do have some recourse.

Plus I'm on the federal "do not call registry".

My guess is they farm these out to telemarketers, who like slamming and irritating people. The gal that gave me the confirm # was named "Jasmine", that was after numerous phone calls explaining the problems with giving out personal info over the phone to an unknown caller.

We are so sick of their unwanted, intrusive, patronizing robo-calls. There doesn't seem to be a way to stop their calls. They have become offensive.

Caller ID says unavailable.  I answered phone and they identified themselves as united health care.  These calls are intrusive and very annoying.

No Health Care Insurance Companies should make this annoy robocalls to remind about prescriptions on the elderly, just the Pharmacies who are on the Health matters, are the ones, to do refill prescriptions, Very innapropiate How Scammers operate this.

Called today.  ID = Not Provided.  Only one ring, which means I blocked them previously.  I'm inclined to agree that health insurance companies and Medicare services do not call to provide prescription reminders.

Exactly! The only calls you should get for your prescriptions would be from the pharmacy you use and/or your prescription providers if they are your Insurance's in house provider.

I called United Healthcare and yes they do call members to remind them that a registered prescription needs to be refilled in 3 days and the will also call up to 3 days after a prescription was to be refilled if it hasn't been done yet. The customer service rep gave me this number to call for removing your name and phone number from this free reminder service (866-695-2637), you will need the confirmation number you received with the original reminder in order to opt-out of the service. Don't believe me? Then call the 866 number above and listen to it for yourself.

Received calls from this number today at 10:05AM, 11:40AM, and 1:12pm.  i did not ans the calls, they do not give a company name on the caller ID.  However, i read the above posts and found that that number is United Health Care, which I (unfortunately) have.  When the time for renewal comes up, Most probably i will switch to someone else.
