Collection company. I didn't catch their name.

Told them they had wrong number. They persist in calling.

National Action Financial Services - debt collector.

I've also gotten a call from these people. It's a recorded message for me. The recording seems to have a lot of background noise.  It doesn't identify me by name so, I think they have the wrong number.  Has anyone found out if this is for real?

This is a debt collector. Looking for someone else, I told them I'm not Tom but they persist in calling.

National Action Financial Services - debt collector- These people are famous for using many varied tactics to extort money from people who will emerge from bankruptcy. At the 7 year mark after a bankruptcy judgement, many items fall off the credit reports of people.  This company tries to make you believe your still at a liability for old debts . very common scam.

Recorded message asking to call.  When I tried to call back the call keeps hanging up.

My mother-in-law, who is 88 years old, keeps getting calls from these sick, twisted bas_ _ rds. She doesn't owe anybody ANY money.,

the phone number on my caller id is 866.654.6221.  the automated message asks me to call mr. lynch at financial action services...blah blah blah.  my aunt gets the same calls.  like most of you, my debt is minimal and i make my payments.  my aunt did cosign for a car loan about 6 years ago, but the vehicle is paid off, so no debt there.  the way I see it, if mr. lynch wanted to talk to me so bad, he would call and speak to me when i answer, rather than asking me to call him back.  i'm tired of the voicemails!!  how do we stop these people!?!

I am wondering if anyone that has called back this number has talked to these people.  What kind of questions do they have for you?  I agree with Christy, if they had something on anyone they would call and talk to you in person.  And they should at least address you by name.  Still the messages that I have gotten are recordings and they don't tell you much.  If I do decide to call them, I would make them tell me who they think they are talking to.  It seems that they have no idea, otherwise they would leave some details on the message.  Use caution and don't give them any personal information.  This sound like a huge scam.

well i'm afraid to call back because it may charge my phone a fee.  not all 800/866 numbers are free to call.  what if that's how the scam works?

I got a call today and they knew my address and phone number. I am going to put a fraud alert on my credit through Equifax and contact local and national authorities. Anyone had any credit problems pop up?

These guys ran repeated robocalls at around 11AM for several days, managing to wake me from a fitful sleep at least once (I work late).  When I picked up the phone, there was no way to get to a representative, they just left the pre-recorded message.

I returned the call (assuming that this was the only way to get it to stop), and the representative was extremely curt, even unprofessional, eventually hanging up on me.  A second call to a rather more sympathetic rep verified that my number had been removed from their list.

I received a call from a "Mr Bagley" stating he was calling from National Action Financial Services and needed to speak to me in regards to debt collection for my brother (he mentioned his full name). I've only received one call thus far. I was told to call back at 866-654-6221 X1140. I haven't tried to return the call because I have not yet heard back from my brother to see if they've been calling him too. I wanted more background before I returned a call.

This seems like a total scam. I'm with everyone else in that if they really wanted to get ahold of my brother then they would.

Also recieve calls from this number.  All they leave is a voice mail.  I do not owe anyone anything as I pay my bills on time, so has to be a total scam.  If any of these companies were legit, they would not hide behind a hundred different numbers, and the caller ID would state their real company name, which it doesn't.  If I don't know the number, I don't answer it, it is that simple.  I'm to busy for scams.  If they can't reach anyone, maybe they should learn of www.800notes.com and then they'll know why.

My mother has been getting calls from this number (supposedly a collection agency). When they have called when I was at my mother's house, they said my dad owed this money from several yrs back. They said the monthly amounts were paid for a good while and then pymts stopped. My dad is now deceased, but I know for a fact my dad is not who they are looking for. I don't remember when they said the loan was from (the yr), but I remember thinking that at that time my dad wasn't driving or making any decisions anymore (due to him having alzheimers). I would not give them my dad's Social Security's number. I told them it was up to then to prove my dad owed this money because I know they cannot do that. Now I have blocked this number from my Mother's phone. We will see what happens next.

they are a scam.  I block the number.

i have been getting calls from this number for over a year they call me atleast twice a day. i know my rights & if i really owed a debt they are supposed to also notify me by written notice and also they are supposed to leave a detailed message identifying themselves and who owes the debt by name. i am going to see if i can get this number blocked but i hope this scam comes to a stop!
