866-659-1489

I keep getting a call from 866-659-1489, even in the early hours of the morning i.e. 4:00-6:00 a.m. They call nearly every day, but don't leave a message. Then, the few times I have answered, the person on the other end says some nonsense about my owing money to some company, which is completely false. I've asked several times for them to remove my number from their list and to stop calling me immediately or I'll report them for harassment. BUT they won't stop.

We have been getting anonymous calls from this number. Today, it popped up as "Toll Fee Call" and I answered it. They are a collection company and a RIP OFF one at that. The name of the company is Torres Credit Services (Carlisle PA). So yes, our household didn't pay for a book from the Crossings Book Club and it went to collections. We agreed to do a check over the phone and when it came up on the bank statement we didn't recognize it; we put a stop payment on it. Fast forward to today. We've been seeing the Anonymous number come up so we never answered it before. Today, the representative (who couldn't spell the name of our town and who seemed to have some real difficulties) said the charge had increased because of their inability to collect the last time. It ended up being over twice the cost of the original book: the book price, plus $6 for processing(1), plus THIRTY DOLLARS for the return payment fee. If you do a search for them you can see complaints like on RipOff Report. Yes, we messed up, but they are a terrible company!

This number is calling me all the time and when I answer they do no say nothing.

This number calls and the man who I finally spoke with couldn't even offer a last name.  He seemed to be reading a very phoney sounding script as the other commenters mentioned.  This number and company needs to be shut down immediately.  I can only imagine the scams and fraud they may be attempting.  

Keep calling me phoney fly by night fraud.  don't answer this number
