when you call back it plays "Thank you for choosing MediaCom"

When I called, it rang busy.

The number you got from is Mediacom is trying to collect your payment on past due payment and warn you that your service will be disconnected on certain date unless payment been made before the disconnecion date.

Our household is constantly bombarded with calls from this number.  We do not answer it.  If it is Mediacom; then they need to do better with their customer service as we are NOT behind on our cable bill.

I am agree with Georgia- they need better things to do!!!!!!!! I know they are after me and I will be forming a posse.

They have called my number too, and now I know it is Mediacom...however why dont they leave a message?

I called back and they asked for the last 4 digits of my social security. Then the man asked if i knew Katrina Gray. I said I did not and he told me to disregard the call.

I told him I wanted more info and he said that someone else had an account attached to my phone number and would take me off of the list.

2 calls, no one there, no message.  I looked up the number and found these comments.  It is annoying to go to the phone and find no one there.

I get 7 to 10 calls a day from this number.

I'm pretty sure someone is using mediacom as their "name" to collect info.  My mediacom bill is on auto pay, in fact, I just received an email from them about an error on my bill and a credit.  So, they know how to contact me! I don't think it is a debt collector even though the message left says it is.

This number calls 5-6 times per day. No one is on the other end of the line.

This is why I do not like mediacom and will not use them in the future.
They are horrible about constantly harassing me when my payment is auto pay. Seriously, anyone know how to stop these calls?

Have received several calls recently from this number to my MagicJack phone number.  They never leave a message.  So I called the number back just now and got a recording stating if I would like to be put on their do not call list, dial one.  Then it said that I should enter the phone number I want placed on the do not call list.  Having read a post earlier from someone saying that his MagicJack phone number got hijacked, I just entered "0" and then it said my number would not be called for any further solicitation.

We shall see.  There's got to be a way to trace this number back to it's true source.  If it is this MediaCom company making collection calls on their accounts that others have posted it is, then they are in violation of numerous collection laws... especially since I don't have MediaCom... I'm a Comcast subscriber and my bill was paid the very day the new bill dropped into my email inbox.  Not to mention the fact that they do not identify their company or that they are attempting to collect on an invoice/a bill.

I talked to a man who identified himself as Jonthan Rodgers.  He said that he was in "the area" and was going to serve me with Court Papers today unless I called this number.  I asked for his telephone number and he said he couldn't give it out.  I asked for his address and he said he couldn't give that out either.  I asked for the name of his company and he said he "was an independent contractor".

The telephone call is abusive and constitutes harrassment.  It is based on the immediate threat that someone is coming to your house to serve legal papers on you.  

This has happened before and when I called I found out that this is an old debt dispute which is so old it has been erased from my credit report.  It has been sold and re-sold so many times to debt recovery companies that they do not know any details of the original claim or even the name of the original party to the transaction.

Since I am not on media com and I have no delinquent bills, I should not receive calls from this number.
Afer I picked up the receiver and no one spoke, I hit # # # # and few times and then hung up.
My caller ID listed this as a Georgia Call.
Within minutes, I receive a second call the was listed as Illinois Call.

Some people I know in these locations would use my cell number; the others would be cause to test the limits of my carry concealed permit.
