Got a call from an unknown number saying they had legal papers to serve and that if I didn’t respond that further action would be taken without my participation. I called this number and got the name of the law firm the first time as Davis Stein and Grisham. A subsequent time (2 days later) gave the name as DSG acquisition and law group. They talk in circles, won’t give me any information about the debt except the name of the original company it was purchased from and the account number. They are rude and aggressive. I checked with my local courthouse and nothing has been filed. The amount they claim is owed is different from my records by an even $1,000. I have documented that I paid the debt to the original creditors. I went through this with another collection lawyer about a year ago.
