I was researching repairs to my three seasons room on homeblue.com  this is the company that sets you up with local contractors.  did not catch the name of the exact company

I was researching tile flooring. Same thing: they said they would set me up with a local contractor. Excuse me, I think I can manage that for myself. From what their website looked like, I thought they WERE a local contractor.

I don't mind them being a clearinghouse to set me up with a local contractor.  I used this website because I was wanting a BBB approved contractor.  I had an appointment scheduled for 3 p.m. and it is now 3:45.  No confirmation call.  No I'm running late call.  Nothing.  I don't even know who the contractor they were sending is.  I plan on letting the BBB know about this.

I'm a licensed General Contractor & I'm going to give you a bit of advice that many of my fellow contractors are not going to be happy about. When it comes to finding a reputable contractor, ask around. Ask your friends, your family members, the members of your church. Talk to your banker, your realtor, your doctor, your dentist. Word of mouth is the key to a local contractors success. When a contractor is good, the word travels. When a contractor is bad, the word travels faster.
If a contractor is using a call center operation to drum up business, it's a sure sign of a contractor that is hurting for business. Many people will go to the local home improvement center & will agree to the offers of installation. I would never recommend that. You're rolling the dice when you do that. The advertised cost of installation may sound good. But you aren't in control of who is going to do it. Find a reputable local contractor, tell him what you want done. Tell him that you've found what you want at the Lowes, Home depot etc. & ask for an estimate of what it will take him to do the job. His estimate will probably come in at a little bit more. It will be well worth that extra 10%. His reputation was built on his company being able to do the job correctly. He's established & can't afford a job being done wrong.
Stick to what the people around you tell you. Take the time to check. A good contractor is a person, or a company, that will really care about you. They will know that you matter.

Got two calls in a row from this number.  Hello, hello, hello.....after three times, I hung up.  They must be robo dialing, and not getting to me fast enough.  Not interested in them anymore.

Home Renovations Experts is the name of the company. I don't remember ever actually requesting a quote so I told them "no" when they asked if I was still looking for estimates on roof repairs. Hoping they never call again.

I got two messages from them every day, but the phone never rang once.  Somehow they robodial into my voice mail and was the same recording every day that sounded like a live call and message.

Harassment caller.

Have recived calls from 904-680-6600 two times a day plus voice messages.  Most voice mails left were not understanable, too much static.  Today a clear one giving me this number to call 866-679-3603 about needing a contractor.  I have not searched for or asked about any planning projects.  The 904 number appears to be spoofed used by Web.com  a Web design company. BEWARE!
