this was scam call from phony organization representing themselves as a cable tv operator.

Called after 5 PM.  Pause, then noises of a call center and a male with an Indian accent asked to speak to the owner of manager.  Asked why, he said his name Mike and calling on behalf of AT&T.  When asked if he was employed by AT&T he hung up.

Just received a call from "At&t" from this number claiming promotional sales. This is another con. These idiots don't get it. They've already been caught making fake IRS calls now this.

India phone scam. Do not answer, you'll be sorryyyyyyy.

There was no voicemail message, just "noise" as if it was an open phone line for about a minute on my VM.
Probably a scam or solicitor

Lots of laughs!  An unidentified male with a strong asian sub-continent accent called representing at&t.  Unknown to him, he had reached an intelligence gathering organization. I told him that i had traced his voip number to street 8 near tali mori rd in islamabad pakistan. He was not in india as he represented.   He responded in saying he knew where my organization was too.  He rudely stated that his rouse was to collect money from unsuspecting americans to support isis. That our address would be the target of future i.T. Intrusions.  Why such a boast is unknown to me.  Frankly, this is an unverified, unsubstantiated threat and probably [***].  Anyway,  a trojan horse virus was transmitted through his voip from our location.  I have not heard from him since, albeit is easily reconnected with proper i.T. Engineering tools. He will have to know how to wipe his drive.  Actually the way we did it, he'll have to replace his drive. For all intensive purposes, all of their data mining has been wiped clean and lost.  One thing for sure, he won't be calling us again and hopefully others.
