Calls, no message, probably telesales or collection?

It's 11:05am Pacific time.  In the past 2 hours I've received 2 calls from 866-681-1704.  I answer the phone and no one is on the line.  I stay on the line and the call just drops.

I have been receiving multiple calls from this number for the last week.  They never leave a voicemail and there is no one there when I answer.

It isn't even 1pm and they've called 4 times!

argh!!  Make it stop!

This number has called our office three times yesterday, and twice so far this morning... any ideas on how to get rid of them?  I can't even find out who owns this number

They call me almost everyday now, multiple times and leaving no messages. I tried calling back to which the line is busy but I haven't picked up

Got call too and no msg was left.  Their phone is busy!

Our office line has received approximately 6 calls each day for the last week from this number - 3 this morning alone, and it's only 11:15am!!

I answered a call from (866) 681-1704 finally since they won't leave a message and they do not display any caller ID. It was Register.com asking me to renew some domains.

Finally the mystery is solved!  I answered and spoke with a representative who was calling for register.com - They are calling to offer promotions to those who have expiring domains listed with them.

D J Z.  It's not really telemarketing if you have a domain that you've paid them for.  That would be a business relationship that would justify their contacting you.

these fools need to stop calling me.  i've gotten three calls from them today already and it's not even 11:00am EST yet!!!

got 6 calls from this number today and no messages. So annoying

They called my cell.  It's register.com  They didn't leave a message and when I call back, it's nothing but busy signals.

Called 3 times by 11:30am eastern today....  No message...  Picked up the last time and no one was there and the call was dropped.

Suggests that Register.com is using an auto-dialing system to call people who's domains are expiring.  This would make sense to me since I indeed have several domains with Register.com and a couple are up for re-registration.
