lawyers calling and saying nothing

I received this call twice now - I did not call back the first time. Much against the advice of the automated voice. Business lawyers? They even quoted an extension &  case ref. #. I called Bell Canada & the rep. told me never to call back a 1-866 # as this is a telemarketing number.  I'm off to register on the national do not call list (Canada). www.crtc.gc.ca blocks against canadian, U.S. & international telemarketers.  It takes 30 days to load your info into the system.  If the telemarketers call and do not abide by the rules, you can lodge a complaint & they can be charged up to $1500 per call/offense. Good luck.

I had a call stating "not to ignore this call" also recieved a case reference number.  I called out of sheer morbid curiousity and got the Casey VanMorlington Solicitors.  I got a call back and he stated that he needed the telephone number that he originally called so he could look me up.  When I told him no he couldn't he got all snippy and said "We'll be calling you back ma'am."  All snooty and like I made him angry.  Lawyer my butt!!  He said something that he couldn't find me b/c they didn't have "A"'s or "Z"'s in their reference numbers which I clearly took down correctly.

I've been called everyday for the past week (while I was on vacation) and it's getting ridiculous.

Glad I googled this number and saw this site. I'm not calling them back so hopefully they go away!

I recevied a call from them as well and I ignored the first couple. After the 3rd call I called back and was told that I had reached the casey van moorlehem barristers and solicitors office by the guy that answered the phone. After I gave him the 6 digit file number he verified who I was he told me that they were calling about a contract I had with goodlife fintness that I missed quite a few payments on. I have made arrangements to clear the balance I owed. Was no big deal, I owed the money so I paid the balance. They were actually quite curtious. I guess dealing with them is what you make it as I can't say I had any problems in resolving the issue with them.

I went ahead and returned the call, mostly because I could barely understand what the man had been saying in the message.

Apparently this is a legal collection firm hired by GoodLife Fitness to collect on overdue accounts.

They wanted me to arrange a payment with them and I told the woman point-blank that I could hear telemarketers at work in the noisy background and that I did not believe she was calling from a legitimate Barrister/Soliciter's office. She told me I could contact that Law Society of Upper Canada to verify the legitimacy of their operation and I have done so. She also said that, if I preferred, I could go in and pay my overdue account at the gym directly.

I will post further information once I hear back from the Law Society of Upper Canada.

When I hear that name, Goodlife Fitness, I just shutter. After my experiences of non-performance of promises about the programs I now refer to them as Badlife Nightmare.

I am in receipt of your inquiry regarding the verification of a lawyer that you believe is named Casey Von Morlehan.

I can confirm that we do have a William Casey Von Moorlehem listed as a lawyer licensee with the Law Society of Upper Canada. He is currently listed as a Sole Practitioner and is in good standing.

I am a student, trying to go to classes everyday, and this number keeps ringing me...I get a msg same as all the other comments this is the office of casey van molen  bla bla bla...long story short...i signed up for goodlife, was in a car accident couldnt go to the gym by doctors orders, as I blew out my shoulder really bad...i call the gym they say *no problem* now Im getting these stupid calls.  Unbelievable.

Forgot to add...I only went once...I was in the accident the next day...
