This phone number is the Bank of America cust. serv line for Edd customers.

my son got a phone call from this number looking for me said something about a legal matter from what from this number is tied to Bank of America and unemployment I have no idea why they're calling I have no ties the Bank of America or unemployment

This came through an email with two separate links to Bank of America and a debt card I supposedly ordered.  LOOKS LIKE A PHISHING SCAM to get your information. Do NOT use any links from any email!  Go directly to B of A through official website to see if someone is trying to use your ID.

You should have posted this in the "800-692-9374" thread instead of this one, since its misleading of this number as the caller trying to scam you.

I was given this as their call back number. The pitch is selling me Direct/TV with movie channels for $50/month; too good to be true. They already had my name and address. I was not giving them an email address or a second phone. (Next time I'll give the non-emergency number of the police or my senator's number.) I played along until they wanted my birth date. I told him they don't need it and we argued. That' s when he gave me this number.

I recieved a txt to call this number but I don't have unemployment. so I gathered it's a scam

866-692-9374 is the correct number for contacting Bank of America regarding the EDD Debit Card, per EDD's own website: https://edd.ca.gov/about_edd/The_EDD_Debit_Card.htm . If you have gotten calls, texts, or other communications from this number and you haven't filed for unemployment or state disability insurance, you may be the victim of fraud, and you should contact EDD / Bank of America right away to get it sorted out, rather than simply dismissing it as a scam. Someone may be receiving benefits in your name.

Wow, what a long-winded story. Since you neglected to say I have to ask: why did you look up the phone number since you already know who called?

I just got a text today that says to verify EDD care with Bank of America I need to click the link or call the number (866-692-9374).  I actually think the number is legit, but that's just cover for the fact that the whole thing is a phishing scam, which is based on all of the COVID-19-related unemployment payments that the government is making these days.  They want to get your login credentials to steal you EDD card money!  In my case, I don't have any connection to EDD/unemployment or Bank of America, so it was easy for me to see that it's a scam, but someone with an EDD card could easily be fooled.  Be careful!

Typo in the message above----should've said in the first line above:  "to verify EDD card with Bank of America" (not "EDD care") -- EDD card.

They just texted me telling me that my card was charged 519.50 for prime activitaion gave an order # and said if not you call this number 866-306-9374
