Calls several times a day and never leaves a message.

I received a call at around 5:30 p.m. today. They left a message but didn't announce themselves so I don't know who was calling but they did mention something to do with an account. They also spoke in french.

What kind of institution calls, leaves a message but without leaving a name.

its a collection agency with more fines for bad business practices than Usain Bolt has running medals.  They will randomly call people trying to have them stop the calls by paying off other people's debts

Received a text message from them for my mother. Here’s the Copy & Paste:
“ MSG for R***** MARY. Please call ARO 1-866-697-3408 regarding file 5232796 Not a solicitation. Reply STOP to opt out”
For internet privacy, I censored out our last name.
I looked through all her bills and found none containing the file number they’re referencing.
Appears to be either mistaken identity or a fraud attempt. Possible scam.

This same thing happened to me. They misspelled my mom's first name though. How are they getting her name and my number connected?

Looks like they had a text blitz today. Scam suspicion. (Dec. 8 2021)

I received the same SMS in this case related to file 5350602. I'll take it as a scam.

No name, txt  fr 27022 (Can't 'report it but can block) It was to call "ARO" with file # as others stated above, however my name was backwards! Have NO o/s debts, either.   Hope this one DOESN'T start up again like last year.

Keep receiving but I've never replied

Keep texting me but with the name of another person concerning a file number. Don't even know the name of the person. Really annoying. Never called them or responded to their text. Collection agency.

Ya this is at a point of harassment, here in Canada  a collection  agencies  can only call you 3 times in a week!! They must state who they are and what they represent.  There are no text messages!! These are tactics they use thinking  we don't know ower  rights. If you actually  speak with  someone  TELL THEM TAKE ME OFF THE CALL LIST AND MAIL THE PROOF TO ME, they have to if you request that. Or threaten  them with a lawyer!!! NO YOUR RIGHTS
