866-697-4093

Just received a text message from this number that simply says Page from 8666974093. No clue who it is but I don't intend to call them.

I've been getting calls from many different numbers, but they are the same debt collecting company, "Firstsource Advantage". The call back # is alway 866/697-4093, but the incoming calls will appear from numbers all over the country. They are a debt collector. Their messages left on my phone were that they are looking for someone named "Abrams Brown". Then it would say, "if your are not "Abrams Brown" then hang up". Another part of the message said, "if we have the wrong number you need to call 866-697-4093 and give us case# (then they leave the number).  The message would continue on about how they are calling to collect a debt, etc..Innocent people being called by these lazy people should not have to call and try to convince these idiots they are calling the wrong number. To put a stop to it I did call them. I gave the woman who answered the phone the "case #" they kept leaving and told her I am not this person named "Abrams Brown", nor do I know him and to stop calling my cellphone. The woman finally says, I " "I can't help you, I'll have to put you on hold and transfer you to someone else". This made me angry, to be placed on hold was truly outrageous. I hung on however, because I wanted to tell them what I thought of their sorry way of doing business. They kept me on hold for several minutes, then "Melody" ( I'm sure that's not her real name) came on and said she'd remove my number from their "system " right away. No one should have to use their minutes and their time to call these people. They have all sorts of tracing capabilities to track down bad-debt people. They don't have to involve innocent people. Firstresource Advantage" needs to be put out of business and if the calls continue I'm filing formal complaints with the FCC and the Comsumer Protection Agency. "Firstresource Advantage"  shouldn't be getting away with such outrageous business practices.
