I too recieved a letter and harassing phone calls from this company. They have even called my fathers house demanding to talk to me. Upon our conversation, finding out that i supposivly bought 1000 worth of drywall from a company that i have never heard of. I asked Mr. Steve Hunter to show me the reciepts and proof and he stated that he does not have them bc they just collect the money. He then told me i have a memory problem where i then told him to [***] off and hung up. Now i have searched them online to find all of this. What can be done to stop the phone calls, and stop from hurting future victims.

I also fell for the scam.  I have a different number to go along with the one you have, it is 1-877-230-1314. They constantly hang up on you and then when you get a person they are very rude and expect you to do all the work and wont give anything in return.

I also have received a call yesterday and today. I contacted my attorney and he told me not to do anything. Have you found out more info on this company?

This outfit called at 7PM to offer a settlement of a debt for about 40% if I faxed them a good faith $200.  High pressure to do it immediately, but they waited while I put them off with a post-dated check and then a check made out to them AND the creditor.
    I don't know how they got the information on my debt.
   Check has been stopped.

Representative Dawn Sheild of this company called us today wanting to speak to the owner, after being asked to leave a message she began to get very AGGRESSIVE and threatening. We will be making a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney Generals office. These people need to be put out of business ASAP.

I have received these calls as well. S.D.R. Inc. 805-498-1180 on caller ID.  They are rude, vulgar and threatening.  We need to work together to stop them.  I have 38 pages of complaints against this company from 5 different websites. Please make reports, place calls what ever you need to do to help me stop them. My last call from the was at 5:44 p.m.est today, he called me a F****** moron and threatened bodilt harm to me.

report to your local law enforcement, do not call registry, letter of cease and desist to stop the calls to this address 6311 Van Nuys Blvd Suite 441 Van Nuys, CA 91401,call your local phone carrier to report annoyance calls and to put a trace on your phone so the law enforcement will be able to track the calls. Sounds like alot but I have found that without all of these things in place there is nothing anyone can do. Good Luck

Recieved call from Theresa Wright who went into their pitch about collecting our unpaid debts, told her I had one $10k account that I'd thought about placing with a collection agency, she immediately YELLS out for a back up person to get on the phone, Dawn comes to the phone asking for Name and details for debtor and proceeds to do some "investigations" while I am still on the phone, starts reading off financial and business ownership information regarding the debtor, faxes over an agreement and starts pressure selling their services.  Red flags fly before my eyes and I tell her it all sounds interesting but I'd like to do my own investigations regarding CII.  She then sounds perturbed and flustered.  I immediately start searching for information on the internet and came across this site.  Thanks to everyone for doing their civic duty and reporting these scam artists!

I as well received multiple phone calls from the number 805-498-1180, which actually is located at (1815 Crystal View Cir,Newbury Park, CA 91320).  Each of the different messages left on my voice mail had different case numbers.    That's when I decided to call them back on the number they left 866-697-7141.  I then spoke a a guy by the name of Kent Cannon, he was very unprofessional about the whole conversation.  he was trying to collect money for something I already settled on.  When I told him that I would prefer any further communication to be done through email, he began to yell and I simple hung up.  These guys/company seems like they prey for the weak.  Don't be fooled by these guys.

I hired these shysters to collect a debt.  I signed thier contract for 20% commision.  I had my manager of another company that I own sign up for a different debt at the same time. We both got call backs from different reps asking for $1200 and $1500 for upfront legal expenses. When I told the firms rep (Steven Levitcus Gains Ext4128) that I would only pay on a contigency basis he got verbally abusive...even called my children filthy f@#king kids! Needless to say I hung up on him. My only problem is now that I have signed 2 debts over to them what can I do to get them released so that I can hire a legitmate collections firm?

We keep getting phone calls at/or around 10am, from a guy who calls himself "Matthew Pierce" from Commercial Investigations Inc. He's left a couple of messages stating that it's "imperative" we call him back.  After reading your posts, I realize this is all bull. One more thing, when he left the phone number where we could reach him, he gave two different ones - one of which seems to NOT EXIST. I'd imagine if he/the company was legit, he'd know the actual phone number.

they pressured us to hire them to collect- we sent them 3 checks to try them out- we did not pay any money up front because those are always scams. they extorted some money from us because 1 check was sent to them by mistake ( the person paid us already, we forgot) and they said they wouldn't stop harassing that person until we paid them 10%. we paid because it was our mistake and it seem they did some work. they tried to do this with the 2nd check but i said we have no proof that person paid and asked them to fax us and they never did, they just wanted more money. finally, we found out they collected on the 3rd check, added 10%, which our client paid them. now they don't seem like they will pay us anything. def will file complaints with the respective agencies

October 2, 2008.  Several calls from CII, all high-pressure, various different males.  Received 2 similar letters threatening legal action from same address as listed above.  Almost taken in but did Internet search and found all of the above and more.  Will call FTC to complain.  Will call an attorney on Monday.  The business that they claim has a debt owed to them is also trying to scam me.  but that's another story.

I unfortunately am just now finding out about this scam I recently 6 months ago gave commercial investigations inc 10,000 dollars and was patiently awaiting a settlement,this will never happen something must be done to stop this, my phone # is 512-751-2782 please call me with any advice thank you Nathan Frank
