Yesterday i received 5 calls from someone named Monica Wells on my home phone and my cell. The number in the caller ID comes up as a local number but she says that she is trying to serve papers on me and needs to verify my address so noone shows up at my house or place of employment. The number she states to call back is 866-713-2572. I called that number and it a recording that says Oakwood and to remain on the line for a customer service rep. They also called my parents yesterday, and today they called my ex-boyfriend's mother. Who are these people?

I've been receiving calls from Oakwood as well, Justin Hall. Calls from a local number, calls at my place of work, also after hours, to call 866-713-2572. Tells me I have a claim # and to call to verify my adress and place of work as well.  My parents were also called and the caller really scared them.  I agree with Frustrated...who are they?  How can we make them stop?? Please help!! I am so stressed that the police will show up at my home/work and I have no clue why!!!

Give them a good mailing address and demand they send you a written demand for payment.  Then send them a letter demanding validation (any and all paperwork signed by you).  If they don't then they must cease collection services.  Thats the law. The absolute worst thing that can happen is you have to appear in court and a judge court orders you to make restitution for the debt.  YOU CANNOT BE ARRESTED FOR ANYTHING.

I keep getting calls from this Justin Hall as well. I have called the number back and demanded that they send me verification in the mail. They refuse to send me anything. Have told them twice that I will be waiting at my door for this Justin Hall to show up but have yet to see him. Today I informed Oakwood  that I need their mailing address, they refused to give it to me. I then informed the woman there that I have been in contact with the attorney generals office. she hung up on me today. I am going to let them handle it from this point.

Lol, this is funny, I got a call from this "Monica Wells" and she left one voice message on my work extension and also left a message with my boss...except the number she told me to call was 866-883-1991, the people there were nice, but they did not want to work with me when I told them to send me all documentation on whatever they had against me about some unfortunate scam I got suckered into, which cost me hundreds of dollars.  Do not worry about these people, the best you can do is report the number to the General Attorneys office, or ignore them.  I have been dealing with these [***] for over 2 years now, and it seems like every time, it is a different company, collector, or "firm", that is threatening to bring me to jail, take my belongings, ect...oh, and also, I tried to call back the original number, which is supposed to be a local number, and it says that this number is not in service, funniest thing ever, lol.  One last note, she did not claim what business she was calling from or anything like that, and it sounded like she was reading a piece of paper that was poorly crafted with bad English...I like to call  these people back just to have fun with them and see what they have to say.  Again, don't worry about these scumbags...hope that helps.

I have received several calls from Monica Wells of Oakwood Claims Processing at 844-332-5521 regarding some claim that she says they have and I don't even know what she is talking about. Monica Wells says she can't give me any information because she is only verifying my address.  I said I want to know what this alledged claim is for and she hung up.  She also called my sister who is ill and got very beligerent with her also. They also called some other people. Thisis ludicris. I have no idea who these people are.  What can I do about them. I know the fair debt collection act says they cannot call you or anyone else for the purposes of intimidation or harrassment.  I want to know who these people are. This is ridiculous
