Call back number left on voice mail.  Scam for sure, claiming they can help me with back taxes.  Never owed back taxes in my life.  Now blocked.

Call back number left on voice mail.  Scam for sure, claiming they can help me with back taxes.  Never owed back taxes in my life.

Got this message twice offering help with back income tax which I have never ever owed

Offering to help with “tax debt”. I’ve never owed taxes ever.

Received voice mail saying: "Hey it's Melissa.  I'm calling you from Tax Help Center.  I'm just following up with a message I left you last week regarding your back income tax debt and I've got some great news for you with the new changes taking effect and I just wanted to discuss your repayment or illumination options as it's imperative that I speak to you just as soon as possible.  My number is 866-713-6082.  I look forward to hearing from you and have a great day."

I've never had any tax debt  in my life.  If I did, I would be persuaded to call since the voice mail was very professional.

Received the following vmail on 11/11/21
Appears to line up with other reported call.

“Hey it's Melissa I'm calling you from tax help center I'm just following up with a message I left you last week regarding your back income tax debt and I got some great news for you with the new changes that have taken affect and I just wanted to discuss your repayment or illumination options as it's imperative that I speak to you just as soon as possible my phone number is 866-713-6082 um I look forward to hearing from you and have a great day…”

Called back and they asked what the IRS letter said I owed in back taxes. . . . You wouldn't be paying foreigners for back taxes. You would call the IRS number (For the US it's 800-829-1040 and for international it's 267-941-1000)  and speak to an agent here or at a IRS appointed call center to discuss paying back your taxes and possibly setting up a payment plan. This number using an American sounding English speaking woman is just a cover for those scam call centers in West Asia.

Got the same voicemail from Melissa as everyone else.
People need to go get a real job.

Oh yeah, scam 100% the number they called from isn't the number they left on the voice-mail. And I don't ow back taxed period.

I recieved the same message from Melissa several times. I asked them what I owed and they had no idea. They said they need to recieve that information from me. I said "ok ill call back when I know" he quickly responded wait wait....I was just informed I can let you know what you owe. I then immediately hung up.
