Left message saying ahes coming to my home between 3-5pm tomorrow gave a ref # said shes a personal carrier to call the company directly 866-716-9703..

Mine said their name was brad miller an independent carrier. And they was going to serve me tomorrow between 3-5pm also at my home or work that it was filed against my social and address and to call this same number for info or if I had questions. That I have been served. I didn't even get a phone call(no number showed up and it never rang) it just showed up that I had a voicemail.) I'm guessing this is a scam?

Received a voicemail from an unknown number stating “ this message is solely intended for (my name). My name is Brian Brocaugh, i’m an independently contracted courier and I’ve been tasked with delivering you certified documents, which are attached to your name as well as your Social Security number. I am scheduled to arrive at your current residence or your place of employment tomorrow between the hours of 3 and 5 PM. If I am unable to reach you at either of those locations it will be documented as a direct refusal to sign & the proceedings will continue on without you. If you have any further questions concerns or if you need to reschedule prior to my arrival tomorrow, please contact the filing potters office directly at 866–716-9703 & refer to your file number. You have officially been notified & unless I receive a stop order today, I will be out tomorrow afternoon, so please plan accordingly

Scam! Real process servers don't call in advance.

Received a call today from an “independent courier” that said she would be at my house tomorrow between. 3-5pm and any failure to contact me would be listed  as a failure to sign. The number they gave was (866) 716-9703 followed by a case number

Same as above, told me he will come, sounds like a scam

Same call as above, when the number called they couldn't even say who they had called.  Scam

I answerdd today and they said i cashed a bad check for 842 at huntington bank. Used the last four of my social to try and identify me. The number they gave was (866) 716-9703 followed by a case number. It's A SCAM FOR MONEY

As others in this thread have pointed out, real process servers don't call you ahead of delivering the papers.  Scammers use such scare tactics to con you out of money. Here is some advice from the BBB on what to do if you receive such calls or texts:

I noticed that he said  "JUNE 6"  but this is DECEMBER.  Perhaps a typo or maybe the scammer is using an old recording?
