I also received a call from this number today. I do not answer calls if I do not know who they are from and they left no message. No message-no return call.

Same number has been calling me almost everyday. I dont know the number so I don't answer. They also do not leave a message.

Another Portfolio Recovery phone number. They have about 100 different ones they use plus they will occasionally block caller ID.

Before anyone goes yelling to pay your debts....I PAID THEM (Portfolio Recovery) like an idiot and they are still constantly calling and harassing me. All I can say for those who do yell at people on here is that you obviously have NEVER lost all your income due to circumstances beyond your control. When one is injured or disabled to where they can no longer work the hoops and red tape to get ANY kind of income and help is mind boggling. It was 5 YEARS before I got disability through SSA - try making ends meet on nothing for 5 years and then SSA meager amounts!

Block or ignore these illegitimate scum. The debt you may or MAY NOT have owed is either beyond the statute of limitations and/or been purchased for next to nothing by these sharks.

This number has called me a few times over the last week or two.  But when I answer no one is there.  I don't have any outstanding debts, and my number is only a couple of years old.

just called me asked 4 my name. i said that person does not live here....they constantly call & i always hang up

Got a call from this number.  When I answered, a recording said that this is about "an important personal matter for _____" and gave my name.  It went on to say "if you are ___ press 1, if not press 2".  I hung up without pressing either and logged into my AT&T Smart Limits and put the number on there so that it's blocked and they won't get through to my cell again!

caller asked for someone who has been dead for 7 years.

I think it's kind of funny how people get on here and yell at others to pay their bills when they had to do the # search themselves and find the forum so obviously they received the same calls. Lol

I agree iwth the people who say, you don't know the situation that someone is in.  I have a college degree and was unemployed for almost a year! Due to budget cuts!!!

I didn't make squat on unemployment, sometimes you just have to prioritize which bills are worht paying and which are not!!

And they are rude and inconsiderate, just becuase I let a bill lapse doesnt mean I won't take responsibility for it when I am financially able!!

This company is sick when it comes to harrasing people...I have told them several times the person they are looking for does not have my number anymore... They still Harrass me at lease 4 times a day. I am at the point of changing my number.

This number calls various direct lines at my office (i'm just a low-level paeon, not management or an owner), including mine. When any of us answers with our company name and "how may I help you?" the caller hangs up. They call multiple extensions several times a day from two different numbers.

called this number back and the recording came on and said- thank you for calling Torres credit services, please hold. I just hung up not sure why they called and was not about to continue holding.

They've been calling 1-2x per day for over a month. No message left. I don't pick up unrecognized numbers.
