At 3.15pm 1/29/10 I received call from 866 725 2769 didnt ans left no message

Same, when I answered, a click and they hung up.

Its the N.R.A

Many calls morning noon and night, all hang ups

Keep getting calls from this morning in the morning. Got a call this morning about 5 min ago and kept saying hello and no one answered so I hung up. I'm on the National Do Not Call list so why do they keep calling?

THEY CALL ONCE EVERY DAY.  PHONE RINGS TWICE THEN STOPS.

THEY CALL ME REGULARLY.  PHONE RINGS TWICE THEN STOPS.  WHEN I CALLED THIS NUBMER THEY SAID THEY WERE THE N.R.A.  NEVER ANY LIVE PERSON TO TAKE CALLS.

Rang 3 times. Not in my database, so waited to see what msg would be, but they ended call before the machine cut in. Called back, had auto msg from NRA. I'm a member, but will request to be taken off list.

Called the National Rifle Association and they said it WAS NOT a valid calling number for the National Rifle Association.  The National Rifle Association normally conducts business under their full title and not just the "NRA."   They commented how in the past, debt collection agencies (National Recovery Agency - hence "NRA") had been a problem.  The individual said he would pass this problem up the chain.  AGAIN, IT IS NOT THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION.

I got 3 calls at 8:00-8:30 and another one in the afternoon. My wife told them she was going to report them.

Just hit redial and it states exactly thank you for calling the national rifle association it does not say N.r.a so it's not a collection agency could still be a scam

caller said they were calling about collecting money.

We've been getting calls from this number all week but haven't answered.  I called it last night.  It WAS the NRA.  I didn't speak to a person, but I was able to push one, listen to maybe 20 seconds of info about the NRA, and then I was provided with the option to enter my phone number to be removed from their call list.  I did, and tonight we didn't get a call.  Time will tell if it worked.  We are members of the NRA, so I think it was really them - the description sounded legit.  I wish they would identify themselves - my husband might have talked to them!  I was just sick of the phone ringing!

When I said NRA I meant National Rifle Association.  It says they are the National Rifle Association when you call - they didn't say NRA.

If you call the number press selection 3, and they will ask you if you would like to be removed from the phone list. This is a third party phone calling center. It's not directly affilliated with the NRA.

I have been getting calls from this number every day at 8:05 a.m.  I usually don't answer because the caller I.D. just say's 866 Service.  They never leave a message.  Finally, tonight I called the number, and it is the National Rifle Association, of which I and my wife are both members.  I got a recording stating that they were calling me with an "update" on my information.  I suspect it has something to do with my recent membership renewal, and the need to validate the insurance portion of that.  Anyway, I pressed 1 for more info, and then at the end of a short spiel, there was an option to press 3 to remove my number from the calling list.  When I pressed 3, I was asked to key in my phone number, which I did.  Then the recording said that my number would be removed within a few days from the calling list.  Hopefully, this will stop the incessant calls.

Got call when not at home, the only thing on the caller id was the phone number and Toll Free, nothing about the NRA.
