they call looking for info on my relatives?

My mom received a call on her answering machine looking for information on my wife so I called the number and got Jean's answering machine.  Jean has a strong southern accent and couldn't make out the company's name.

They called my neighbor and sister-in-law looking to verify my address and stating they need to deliver mail.

I received a call from Jane (she had a strong southern accent) who said she's with (what sounded like) Provest or Provess. She left me a message saying she was trying to locate my neighbors (who recently moved) because she was trying to get an important document to them. Instead, I typed in the phone number she left on my voice mail in Google that came up with this site. I'm glad I ran the check.

my family has been receiving these calls, how do you make them stop.
