Call received at 6:26 PM Eastern; no one there, then disconnected

Nobody answer, I call back too and same as description above, busy signal.

Nobody was there so I hung up.  I called back to just get ring after ring.  No one answered.  Please let me know what you know about this number.

I received 4 phone calls from this number in one night but no one says anything when I answer.

Someone has called me from this number 21 times within the past 4 days.
They never say anything when I answer, never leave a message when the machine picks up and when I call them back there is no answer.

They have called 9 times in the past 20 minutes!

I am really frustrated as I have a sick child who they continually wake up.
I have the phone on low but I can not turn it off as his illness (terminal illness) requires that I keep an open phone line.

called 3 times in less than an hour; i didnt answer. I tried calling back when i out my son to bed but it just rang and rang.

I've recieved a one to two phone calls from this number daily.  If it weren't bad enough when you answer there is no one there.

This number repeatedly calls our number.  When we answer, there is an immediate click and the call is disconnected.  If we let it roll to voicemail, no message is left.  If we call the number back, it just rings continually.

Same deal except first I got a call marked International and after I hung up on it this one immediately called back.  When I called it it rang & rang  switched to another extension and rang some more

Seriously!  They have just called 6 times within the past 7 minutes.  They hang up, wait 30 seconds and call back again.  They haven't left any messages.  This is very frustrating as I am trying to put my daughter to bed.  They are calling as I type.  It's 8:30 at night.  I just picked up and they hung up on me!

Came in as Unknown Caller.  Picked up and disconnected without speaking.  Called back within the minute.  Repeated action.  Guess they got the hint. . for the night.  Call at least once a night.  Are they immune to the Do Not Call List?

Call received to my land line at 2:26 pm on 3-9-09; I answered, but no one replied; called the number back, but got a busy signal.

Once again. Verizon does NOTHING to protect subscribers from [***] like this. They called again several times yesterday.

Call from 866-727-2119 Claimed to be raising money for the "POA". When pressed claimed POA stood for Police Officers of America or some other silly nonsense. Said the organization was in Howard County, MD. Everyone probably gets a call "from a local agency". Sounds of a large Call Center in the background. Can't send a donation letter by mail. Only takes your money over the phone. Yah right ...

Been getting calls on my home phone as well.  Since I do NOT accept incoming calls on this line, I knew right away it was your typical solicitation/telemarketing annoyance call.  Any time I get one of these calls, I pick up the phone and listen without saying anything.  I couldn't hear any boiler room operations in the background.  So it's either one of those automated things that gets activated with an answering machine or it gets routed to a real person once someone says hello.  Either way, if someone was actually there I would have given the person a harsh tongue lashing.  I will never civil to telemarketers/scam artists/etc.  If I wanted to donate to charity I will do it myself and not by solicitation.
