Received call from unknown and they told my daughter they were giving 2 hours grace call before serving a subpoena, and that someone had to be home to sign for it.  They gave my daughter a number and I called district clerks office (Central Texas) and the number was not one of their case numbers.  Then I searched on Google and found the above comment with the same number they gave my daughter for  me to call back.  The number is tied to company Westcoast Filing Services a collections agency.

This is one of a half-dozen shell companies operating out of mailboxes in Carona, California. It appears to be a scam targeting Hispanics, and a few other folks as well. I've called the California AG office and they said ignore them. For the record my wife, who is Hispanic, is also receiving calls over a debt incurred via theft of her ID. The Dallas County office of the Texas Attorney General advised me not to call the number back, and not to deal with them.

My wife recieved a call from these people saying that she would be taken to court if we didn't set up a payment for a Best Buy credit card that has been turned over to them. When she told them that we have never had a Best Buy card, they said it probably was showing up as a Best Buy card because we bought a TV or some other electronics!!! TOTAL SCAM!! I looked up the address on mapquest and there is a strip mall where these people are supposedly located!!

Called claiming to be a law office. Same deal as above. Pay or they will begin the process of suing you. They tried to act as if they were doing a favor by reversing the legal proceedings in return for an up front payment and then subsequent payments there after. They also claimed papers had already been served and because I was a no show in court, I could face legal action.  
Their domain contact info for their website is hidden thanks to a service provided by godaddy. According to the incorporation filing, they just recently started business. Check out the map address on google maps and you'll see it's a shopping center.

Received a call from 'Jessica Allen'. She said to call back @866-727-3113 between 8am-5pm. She also gave a docket number and county that I have not checked out yet. Google says this number is claimed by http://www.westcoastfilingblog.com/ which seems consistent with other comments here. Google is not clear about who 'Jessica Allen' is.

I have received a call as well, to my place of employment and what is even wore they have left a message for me to another person. This is completely outlawed by FDCPA.

I received a call at work, not initally asking for me but asking the company policy for serving court documents.  Once I told them it is not permitted on the premises (which is actually true) they then asked for me by name.  I said no personal calls were permitted. So he asked me to take down his number that this was very time sensitive and that if I did not call them in 3 hours they will have no choice but to execute the service here at the place of business.  Not once did I ever indentify myself, nor did he ask who I was.  Total scam. If this were legit he so has violated so mand fair debt collection practices! Try to scam someone else fool! When I did call the number back the phone was just answered corporate office how can I help you? If they were serving me a summons they just show up, they do not give you warning or notice or a chance to stop the service process.

Received a phone call at my job.  The guy did not identify himself, but said I need to call this # 866-727-3113, to give them my address so that a summons could be severed to me, other wise, I had an hour to call this # or the summons would be served to me at my job.  I asked him why how do I know this isn't a scam, and he said well I'm calling you at your job.  He couldn't identify what court in OH was serving me this summons.  I told him why couldn't he just take my address info and contact them himself and he said he was just the middle man.  I would think that if I was going to be served I would get a legal document from the court stating so.

I also received a call at work. He talked to my boss. is this legal.  its on an hsbc credit cart.d. do i pay these people or what. he wanted my debit card but i w ould not give it to him. if i pay this does the moenty go to hsbc or does it go to westcoast filing.  someone help

This is just another front for the Corona Scam.

Their "debt" allegations are fake, as are the threats of "arrest", "lawsuits", and everything else.

Check your credit reports, particularly Experian, and you will probably find they pulled one recently, probably within a couple days.

They use information from credit reports to con you into thinking you "owe" them for some old account they find there.

If you pay them, the money will probably go up the scammer's nose.

Contact FTC immediately.  They are currently investigating this rash of complaints of illegal and fraudulent debt collection pointing to the Corona CA area.

Received this call earlier saying that I have basically missed one potential "serving" and was in danger of missing another.  Not sure when I missed the first one.  After seeing this website, turns out it is potentially a collector using elaborate means to try to con me into some form of payment.  They even had a docket number and the girl's name was "Jessica Allen".

my brother received a phone call from this number regarding me.... the person asked if someone was going to be home between the hours of 4-7pm to sign or receive a subpoena for "angie" which when he called and told me, i knew could not be a real legal matter since "angie" is not my name.  i dont know how they got my brothers phone number... we dont even live on the same side of town???  i just find it so weird that they have my brothers number but asked for me (well my nickname)?!?!?

They practically always call some relative first, sometimes one in another state or across the country.

That is how this scam works.  

Their goal is to appear to be a "process server" so you think you are being "sued".  They want to panic you into paying some fabricated "debt" without any proof you owe them.

Contact FTC.

This scam aims at conning people into paying them, by creating the appearance that there is some "lawsuit" so people "settle" and pay them with no proof of this "debt".  They routinely give some "case number" or "docket number" to appear like they have filed a "lawsuit".

Why don't you call the clerk at your local court house and verify that the "docket number" is bogus?

It is apparent that these artists have pulled my credit report in order to fraudently collect a debt. They are mean, crazy but refuse to fax any proof of the debt. Therefore I say send the subpoena!!!!!

My husband just got a call from them as well a Richard told me that I had until 5 on friday of this week to have the payment for them or he would be served with a supueona and then all of the sudden he call and said he needed the payment today. When I called it back they answered the phone b just saying CORPORATE.  What I would like to know is how do i get a hold of the FTC. I have been scared all freaking day cuz of this crap
