Called threatening to serve me with court papers, go to my place of employment, etc.

I got the same call yesterday. Did you get served? I'm "suppose" to be served today.. Crazy people!!

Same here - The call came through as restricted. They left a message saying they were a courier service hired by there unnamed client to serve me with some kind of paperwork. They advised if they were unable to serve me at my home address then they would come to my place of employment and serve me and my supervisor or security would have to be a witness. The company was not named, the contents or nature of the call was not made clear, the number give was 866-727-3304 and if I called, I would have to reference the case number she gave me. No clue who this is who called, but they just committed a hand full of FDCPA violations, since I know this was just an attempt or scam or scheme to pay a debt

Real process servers do NOT call you ahead of time - they show up, unannounced, because they are paid ONLY to hand those legal documents to you.  This has all the markings of a debt extortion scam.

I also received this call....someone named Jason Wright called and didn’t even pronounce the name of the town he was coming to serve me in correctly. Called back this morning and left a message that this is my last chance.  Did anyone ever show up?

No one ever showed up. Report them to the FTC. Jason Wright also called my mother. It's a scam!

I received the same call yesterday but they left voicemail because I don't answer unknown numbers. They also called other family members and left the same type of message. If I don't call back they will show up at my home and work. They do sound intimidating and don't know whether they are for real, even though I know darn well I have done nothing wrong.

Same happened to me Monday, they are a scam. I waited they never came. I called the county clerk and sheriffs office to check for court dates or if I was on the list to get served and they advised if no one shows its probably a scam. I am now going to call them every single day to check and get on their nerves!

I received another call this morning saying it was my last chance before they came between 3 and 5.  No one showed up.
