I got the same call from a Charles Hartman who real names is Charles Gilmore company member with Denise Williams  owner at 123 E 9th st upland , ca 91786 suite 101 after a voicemail was left from some lady. The voicemail stated that they had been trying to serve my husband and that I needed to contact the attorney office to prevent any court proceedings. At the end of the voicemail it said that I had been Notified! Which makes no sense concidering they left a voicemail on my phone which has my name stating on it NOT my husbands.
So when I called they transferred me to this Charles Hartman  who claimed my husband owed thousands to some bank we had closed nearly a decade ago! The thing was we never got any papers about this ever! U can not CLOSE a account completely owing any money at all! He stated that that we're going to charge us nearly 8,000$ if we let it go to court. Claiming that the debt was for 1,500 an u couldn't make payments or resolve this any other way. He got me really upset being a stay at home mom with multiple kids an my husband being the only income we have. I deal with all the financial things an never had I ever seen anything from this so called bank stating we owed anything EVER! He had purple address were we lived when my husband used the account and stated that for 2 years they had been trying to contact him an this was the end of the road an their was nothing else I could do. We have been at our current residence for 5 years an all our mail, taxes everything has been changed to here sense we moved. This made no sense at all! He said that he would settle for 400$ but I needed to do it soon or we would end up paying thousands an thousands!
Called the Bank they claimed this was threw an we never owed ANYTHING! They said that this made no sense cause they don't even keep cases over 5 years n if that was the case we would of gotten something years an years back. They told us that it was most definitely a scam!
So I called back just to make sure I heard him correctly that this was the company that was claiming we owed money too. When this "charles hartman" said it was I then told him that I found that interesting because we spoke with them anew NEVER owed them anything an that NOTHING was ever filed or could of been. I also told him that I wouldn't pay anything to anyone without seeing a legal document with this information. He then got extremely upset and told me that He could no longer speak with me because I looked into this matter an that the "Medical Hardship" amount that was offered no longer was able and I would now have to pay thousands out. I laughed and said No so called "Attorney" gets mad when a client verify the facts an makes sure they r correct before handing money! They sure as Hell don't get mad an say that because they "LOOKED into the debt themselves" that they could no longer speak with me an hang up!
Honestly if this was real their is no way any judge or court system would take 40% of every check we receive an then on top of it freeze our bank accounts an take all are assets over 1,500$ an then turn it into 8,000$ after the fact in fees! I really do hope nobody is paying these people anything! Seems they will say anything to take money from people. Even if it's all they have an they can't do anything right that day. I've never heard of any attorney office asking u to call everyone an get the money together as fast as possible or this will go to court an then nobody an talk to u or answer your questions and u won't Be able to settle. These people or horrible
The funny part is that who talks to another person that's not the person whom their r claiming owes the debt? Without consent from the person themselves. I actually am his wife but they don't no that!  It's a scam
