866-743-8547

I got 2 phone messages saying they are Syncrony bank regarding Sams Club Discover asking me to call 866 743 8547 (or go to samsclub.com/credit for faster service).  I called the number and it asked me to enter my credit card number, which I would not do.  I went to samsclub.com/credit and used the "chat".  They said there's nothing wrong with my account and "since a new bank took over credit services for Sam's Club account, that might be the reason why you have to call."

I have had other communicating regarding Syncrony taking over GE Credit, so it could be legit. I'm still not going to return an odd call and give my card number.  

Update - Got another call asking me to call 866 743 8547.  Took a minute or 2 of entering zeros for credit card number then social security number before I could speak to someone.  It was my wife's account that was overdue (and that was my mistake, I paid to the wrong account) so the number 866 743 8547 is legit for Synchrony bank (formerly GE Capital Retail Bank).

They have NO reason to call me. I have one credit card and the bank holder is the same. And when I answer they hang up. Then I called them and they want my social.. um no. And when I start asking questions they hang up!!! But call multiple times a day!

There are cheap VOIP phone lines, I use a $4 a month service for a number to give to service providers.  I never answer it, it has an answering machine.  If it is someone I want to talk to I call them back, only on that line, because they log numbers you call from, even when you suppress your number.

CID said "told free call". Sounds like some scum bag debt collector looking for the pin head that had my phone number previously, he is a real dead beat!

I don't have a Sams club card. This phone number I have now is 2 months old! I have no debt! My phone rings all hours so early with this recording. If you call the number it is just more recordings . NO live people. WTF?????

This place needs to quit calling at all hours of the day and night.They even call on Saturdays and Sundays !! Ridiculous !!

I got a call and says that call is from Sams club

I did not recognize this number.  I reviewed other recipients who report it is related to their Sams Club credit card.  If that's the way Sams Club wants to treat its members, I'll stop using them.  They call daily with the same recorded message.  One day I called another number the recorded message provided, and it was indeed Sams Club credit, with the bill received only a day before their call.  This is not the way to encourage use of their credit card--perhaps that's what they are trying to accomplish!

Unknown, as they do not leave a message and I do not answer a caller I don't know. I too have Sam's account. Auto pay each month. Unnecessary calls and they cone in 3's. Very annoying.

Just got a call at my job from this number. Asked for another employee and said they were a private detective. They hung up before anyone else could get on the line.

Recording giving call back number of 866-743-8547 or go online at SamsClub.com. May be legit, but don't know for sure. 678-518-3090 called 16 August 2016 12:4pm CID reads "SYNCHRONY."

I just called the bank with Sams Club, they said that number is not on their list of numbers to call people about thier accounts.  whe nI called this number a computer wanted me to enter i nmy credit card number without any option to skip to a person.

Received 3 calls in 3 days. Said from Synchrony bank regarding Sam's Club credit card. Called the number back, recording asking for my credit card #.  Pressed '0', lady came on other line, asked for my credit card #, told her no, asked for my social security #, told her no. Prior to calling this number, called customer service # on back of my Sam's credit card. Sam's said nothing wrong with the account. The phone # the company called was a home phone number. Best part, Sam's Club doesn't have my home phone #;  only my cell #. In my opinion, SCAM.

It's a scam number caller says it's Sam's Club master card not true called number on credit card and it's not them calling. Be careful don't respond to this number. Card the #on the back of your card to make sure.

Repeated calls claiming to be from Synchrony, sometimes twice a day.  Very annoying since I have never had a Synchrony account

My phone is listed on the do not call list but they call anyway.  Sometimes multiple times a day.  I block the # and they just call from another #

they have recently been calling me everyday about sams club mc, I don't have a sams club mastercard anymore and paid off my account a few years ago and cut up the CC.  not answering the call
