This number keeps calling me about a court date and that I need to go to a processing center with a reference number.  They have all my numbers,(cell, job and personal.

This number comes in on a fake  number on my phone of "311". It is a noisy call center with a person speaking rapidly in poor English claiming that they have to serve me with a process server document and to call back immediately after  making threats of arrest and repeating themselves in poor rapid speech that I will be arrested if I do not respond. . The court docket number they gave me is fake, I called my county courthouse and they said its a large scam and do not bother to call them back .The number they called for me is unlisted and few people have it. Be aware they are a scam trying to get people to put money on pre pay cards. They are all scammer do not fall for it. Call your courthouse with the fake docket number and they will confirm. This is not a company, it is a scammer call center trying to scam money out of good naïve people. They have no company name and refuse to give you any authentic info because they are a scam call center. Be aware these call center use fake phone number ID's each time they call you so do not answer any unknown calls from a 866-744-5647 or 311. You can make a report of each call to the FTC and your local police.

Called me from a private number claiming I had a half hour to call them and they have court papers for me.

Received a no caller id call claiming they tried to serve me court papers and that I needed to call the number within a half and hour or steps would be taken.

After hours robo-greeter IDs themsleves as "The Legal Office".  Most likely some sort of debt colleciton scam.  Ignore and block the calls.

They are debt collectors. Specifically they buy old, junk debt thats out of the statute of limitations. They use illegal tactics like threaten arrest if you don't pay NOW! Google Bayview Solutions and read about the government cases against them.

Its the classic fake processor scam. First the processor calls you to tell you he will be serving papers. He cant tell you what the papers are about though. He informs you to call the toll free number to find out. Then you speak with someone who tells you owe xxx for some 10 year old debt thats already way out of the statute of limitations. They threaten you with criminal charges of misuse of a credit card ( there is no such thing in the penal code btw- my brother is a lawyer). Then he says you have to make payment today otherwise they will file charges.
Just ignore these people. Dont even answr the phone. They are criminals

They have been calling me from a number that just comes up on my caller id as 313. They stated they were from the county process dispatch office and that I needed to call on an urgent matter, and that I may miss a court date. I called and spoke with a Dan Walker who stated he was in quality control. Kept urging me to make arrangements to pay off an old credit card debt. I went through credit counceling and debt was paid. He insisted it was not, that  they owned the debit and we're going to file suit if I refused to pay.  The would not offer any proof or documentation. The refused to give out their address with out a written request. I faxed the written request and asked them to cease contacting me. I got another call today from the 313 number and due to bad reception could not understand the person calling. I had mr walker's number and called and asked him to stop the harassing calls per my faxed request. He claims they do not make these calls, and refused to give me a person to contact to stop the calls.  I called the 866 number that was left on my voicemail and asked again for the address and name of the company. The address I was given 600 S Commomwealth, Los Angeles CA 90005, is the address to the LA courthouse. Mr. Walker is not an attorney, according to the CA bar association. He said they were a law firm -- did not identify as a collection agency.  He was very rude and stated that the harassment was what I deserved because I was not trying to make a settlement with them.  I asked to speak to his boss who also advised me that this was how things go when you don't meet your obligations. I admit to being rude in return. Over the past week this same "business" had contacted my ex  in-laws and their parents. I am asking that they stop calling me, and my family with vague threats about court dates etc. This action may not have come directly from Mr. Walker, but his claims that he does not know who is making the calls is false. The are providing the telephone and case number from Barrett law. I have searched in my state and in California, and there are no judgements and that is not a valid case number.  For a debt collector they seem to have little knowledge of the federal consumer protections and I have reported them.

Joanne same story here. The address they gave you is the LA county Courthouse LOL. There is no Barrett Law and there is no Mr Walker either. These low life make up names and companies. Just block them, thats what I did. I subscribed to Mr Number (its an App for the phone) and it takes care of them. They called me about a debt that is a decade old and way out of the statute of limitations. do yourself a big favor, STOP calling them back and stop engaging them. You are only encouraging more calls and contact. There is no lawsuit and there never will be one. If you want them to stop, you need to ignore them and eventually they will move on t the next sucker
