Received a call from 536-078-4617, they left a message stating they are the IRS and will be placing a lien on my assets in 24-hours.  They had my name sort of correct but the guy was so Indian you could hardly understand him - in the background were around 1.1 billion more people talking in what sounded like the worlds largest telemarketing company.  They left a number to call back if you have questions, here it is:  866-744-6383.

Got a call today from 866-744-6383, they left a message stating that they were from the IRS and that they would be placing a lien on my assets within 24 hours if I did not call them back, when I called them, I gave them my phone number and explained I did not owe any taxes. They asked for my husband by his first name. I handed the phone to him. The guy sounded like he was from the middle east and there was a lot of background noise. The guy said he was with the IRS and gave agent #149 and told my husband that there was a fraud case against him for owing back taxes. My husband disagreed and told him we didn't owe anything and that we paid everything, asked why he sounded so distant and far away. He did not reply to my husband but rather hung up. He could hear other languages being spoken in the background. Called the real IRS to report as well as the better business bureau. BEWARE, the phone calls/messages from this # IS A SCAM!

Same here, just received the same call, same number, same 1.1 billion people!!

Received a call from "the IRS" at a phone number I haven't used in 10 years (brother still uses it) and asked for me by my maiden name.  Told my brother they were going to put a lien on the house (which isn't in my name!) and my bank account.  Told my brother if they call back to tell them he knows it's a scam.

Got two automated calls saying the IRS was going to file a lien on me. It offered to connect me to a loan officer, but I suspected a scam and did not take it further. Upon a little google search this appears to be a scam only.

Message from an agent of some department threatening me if I didn't call him back at 866-744-6383.  Either automated voice or English most definitely not this guy's first language!  Not calling back!

Just got the same call..."IRS Audit Dept", sounded like a call center in India, guy was very rude when I wouldn't tell him my name. I asked for a return call number & he gave me the one above/also showed on caller ID. Got a call like 1 min prior from "unknown", didn't answer...may be them too.

Got the same call twice today.  When it offered me the option to speak to them, I got a computer messages stating that, " they will transfer me to a poll taker for more info".  Love how the message starts out with "Your Name"  and even adds  "your assets"  just like that!!  No name or anything.....  Really???  SMH!!   Another scam, Yippee!!!!!

called me told him I was with the FF &BI and he was going down! filed a FCC complaint! hahahah I really did file it too! and I dont know what FF & BI stands for but it was funny..

Just got home to the same message as many of you.  866-744-6383 This is the third time and the third number I've  been asked to call regarding the IRS and the legal ramifications of not returning the call.. So sick of this crap!

Stated IRS and had personal info. Asked for 50K to not go to court. Threated IRS

Scared my husband so bad jerks..,,,,,  SCAM ALL THE WAY  

This "call" from the IRS needs to be ignored...I spoke to many at IRS and they contact you by either registered or certified letter. The calls from the phone are the biggest, yet desperate scam robbers on this planet.

Just received a call from a rude middle eastern guy who says he works for the IRS threatend to have the police come to my job and take me to jail and take all of my assets if I did not pay $3,288.00. He said they did an audit from 2008 to 2012. I asked where is the paperwork he said they tried to serve me twice but no one was home so they sent it back to Washington D.C. Then the rude guy had the nerve to ask me so what am I going to do. I said "What do you mean what I'm going to do? I'm not doing anything until I have some documentation." I told him why would I take his word if I can't even understand a word he is saying. Then guy responded that his promise to me is to have the authorities come pick me up and take everything then he said I wish to no longer speak to you and hung up on me.

Sounds like this person is not only threatening, but also desperate...IRS never calls you at all. I had this call once and forced him to hang up...I love making people like him angry and it shows that he will not stop at nothing until he gets your money.

This guy has called 3x in one hour claiming to be the IRS. I know for a fact that they were scammers claiming I owed money to the IRS, which I don't),

My sister told me the same thing.... I should call him back and harrass him now!! lol
