called number and was a collection agency NCO financial syst. from Horsham, Pa. They collect for Capital One accounts. I was attempting to make a payment on line, when my account was blocked and message said to call 866-750-0873 for assistance.

That isn't correct! The number 866-750-0873 is a number for Capital One but it is a customer service number, not a collection agency.

I keep getting calls from this number, no one answers when I pick up the phone and they don't leave a message

At 2:35 PM on Sunday afternoon of November 15, 2015, I received a phone call from this number.  A woman said a credit card had been opened up in my name on June 6th of this year at Capitol One and credit limit was $2,000.00 and had been used in Hattiesburg, MS at Walmart, Target, and Hardrock Casino in Gulfport, Ms. and balance is over $1,000.00.  She gave me her name and representative number.  I do not and have never done business with Capitol One.  She said someone would contact me or I could contact them at the number on caller ID.  She did say I would not be liable for the charges.  This same sort of thing happened approx. a year ago.  Will post again later if I find this is for real or a scam...was not asked for money or info.  She already had my address, phone number, and name as has been on some papers in the past but not the way I usually sign.

Tomorrow morning, Monday, November 16, get in touch with a local Capitol One office. Give them all the information you have posted here. This sounds like a scam to me.

I received a call from this number this morning while I was out
When I called back, a recording came.on and asked for my 16 digits card number. When I didn't respond, I was transferred over to a live person. She was from capital one and I explained what had happened. She asked me for my name, but I didn't give it to her. I don't know what this all about.
