- Parts Dealer in CAUnless they stopped running the scam, I think I found a way to get them to stop calling. I faxed them back with the words in large bold print "STOP CALLING US" along with asking them to fax me a piece of company letterhead including logo, name, physical address, phone number, credit card number, exp date, cvv2# & billing address. I also told them that their information has been linked to scam reports. I faxed it to both fax numbers I had for Mike Helton & Kurt Bush at Diesel Overhaul/Gerneal Diesel & I have not heard from them since. That was on 4.13.09. The fax numbers I have for them are 866-704-5271 & 866-756-6220.

- SBPSCJust received a relay call, it was an operator assisted call, the party was wanting to order Cat parts. They sent a fax over (this fax was from a Mike and wanted me to email him at bctrailer@usa.com), there is about $8,000 worth of Cat parts. What caught my eye was his last sentence on his fax "I will pay for mark up & other chargers", figured this was a scam from the moment the call came in. Tried to send a fax back to the number listed 866-704-5271 and it says the mailbox is full. WHAT A SCAM
- LizThese people are an insult to the Deaf community. They are preying on peoples sympathy, and I have found an excellent way to stop them in their tracks. I asked Monica (supposedly from BC Trailers in Springfield, Mo) where she went to school. ANYONE who is familiar with Deaf Culture knows that the first thing Deaf people ask is your name, and where you went to school. It's very important because then they know what method of communication you were taught. Monica had no clue what I meant, and then would not email me again when I told her my sister was Deaf and I was curious where she went to school. THERE IS NO WAY THESE PEOPLE ARE DEAF, they are common thieves.

- norma replies to Robert Djevharianthis person mike helton contacted me via phone relay. I almost sent him the parts the wanted. i ended up purchasing these parts and of course the vendor will not take them back because they were special ordered. the credit card # he gave me was stolen the credit card company called me before fed ex picked up the 7000. worth of parts other wise I would have been out more money.
- scottsame thing here wanted 4800.00 of cummins parts. he's not getting them !!!!
- edventureI had a similiar run in with these scam artists and in the future if they contact you and you want to help the cause in catching them, bait them into giving you a credit card # then report it to visa/mastercard. Or find out what the ship to location is and report that person. Do not by any means process the card.
- Lauren replies to AmandaI have received three calls like this at the business I work at. A man named mike who wanted us to order parts for him. I called Cat. to see if a hearing impared person could place an order via email, they said yes. I sent Mike an email letting him know that it would be a better option for him because he would not have to pay mark up. He will not stop calling!!!!
- ConnieI have received the same type of info only my callers name is Scott Smith , from diesel heavy truck he keeps call as if hearing impaired and wants cat.parts. We will not ship or process cards over the phone without hard copy proof and ID which of course he has failed to provide. He says he has no ID except for passport made the big mistake because there are deaf people who do drive and always carry ID. Its sad to think that people would go to all this trouble for what?

- Tom BushI received a call using a 3rd party relay, e-mail given was dcdieseltech@yahoo.com, the name used was David. Looking for Cat injectors and nozzles, parts cost for me $6775.00. Local Cat dealer here was victim of this scam last year, suckered out of about $3000.00 worth of parts, they ran the card, it was good, the next day they found out it was a bad card. I sent an e-mail back requesting bank name, phone #, card #, card name, and the engine model and serial #. I have a feeling I won't be hearing from them anymore.......
- carquestthe caterpilar parts needed we do not carry
- impact DieselHad a call from the same Fax number today asking for cummins and cat parts, Using the name David Kemp and e-mail address dcdieseltech@yahoo.com
- MariaWe are a business and I also thought it was a strange call. The called gave no business name so I did a google search by email he sent DCDIESELTECH@YAHOO.COM and came up with this page. I sent him an email stating we didn't have parts available. Hopefully he wont call anymore.
- Call type: Event reminder
- PhilSame scenario as Maria frmo October 29. He wanted to pay by credit card, but we can't accept credit card payments. Asked him to supply references to set up credit. When we searched the 'net, came up with this page. We don't expect to hear from him again.
- BobBeware for "David Kent" as well. He contacted my company looking for a CAT quote and then a quote for Cummins parts. He has used the same email address at dcdieseltech@yahoo.com. He is still using the "deaf card" because he is calling through his call centers he uses. BEWARE
