- Annoyed in OC replies to SteveI also get several calls from this number but do not know who it is? Can anybody help!
- Walter replies to SteveIt's a company called vision financial; what they are for I don't know.
- Lou| 1 replyThey are bottom feeders. They buy debt from credit card companies for pennies on the dollar and then hound people day and night for the money. And.. We don't need some mental midget to tell people to pay their bills, if they could, they would.
- Caller: Vision Financial
- Call type: Debt collector

- Jeffro3rI get these call also. Mostly calls about bills from my ex-wife. All over 12 years old. I got tired of them so I now use a free app for my droid called PhoneBlocker. it blocks any number you want. I just keep adding more numbers to the list. Very easy.

- Fedup| 2 repliesThis number is Vision Financial and they are rude, scream at you, insulting, refuse to offer any info on the debt supposedly owed, refuse to verify debt in writing, threaten legal action, and want personal info over the phone and a debit card to immediately pay off amount owed. They have been reported many times at Ripoff Report.
This is a scam and even if they were legit there are limitations as to methods they can use.
This harassment at the very least.- Caller: Vision Financial
- Call type: Debt collector
- Fedup replies to Fedup| 1 replyJust as I was posting my message, I noticed that there was a link to NCO, right here on 800notes, which was mentioned on one of ripoff report docs and Vision Financial may be affiliated with Vision Financial.
Why is a company affiliated with a scam listed here on this site? - lone stranger replies to FedupMy guess is that the ads come from one of the ad hosting services, and are targeted based on the site content. In other words, 8oonotes wouldn't be selecting the ads, but instead would have a revenue arrangement with a company that sells advertising. Their software looks at the targeted keywords for the ads, then finds a lot of the targeted keywords on 800notes, and says, "Gee, that is a good fit - display this ad on that site."
This issue isn't unique. As an example, some pretty scummy ads show up on consumer advocate Clark Howard's site at times. You can look at it one of two ways. Either this is a bad thing, because 800notes is giving unintended legitimacy to NCO, or, it is a really funny thing, because NCO is unwittingly helping to fund 800notes.
Unless you can get everyone to sign up for an annual membership to post here, how else would you fund the site's operations? - Fedup| 1 replyThank you lone stranger for your reply.
I just called back vision financial and I have a blocked number and I was telling them I wanted it stopped and we were going around and round and I hadn't identified myself and the rep through my husbands name at me, how did they unblock the phone number.- Caller: Vision Financial

- RalphThese idiots call my cell phone continuously,if its late and the call does not take my anytime minutes,I play like I'm Asian or Arabic and say "Hallo" "Hallo",Who is this?,its funny as hell,to confused these idiots.
- Caller: Some Collection Idiots
- Sees It RealYour right the person that said they are just "scavengers" I cant even imagine why someone would even work in that industry although having known a person or two that have its common practice for parent company to psyche Up their nothing more that entry personnel and its the company that teachs them all the poor practices they use whats confusing It nothing was ever actually Owed to the "scavenger" company they Never provided any kind of service or product, Nothing, yet they but closed accts for pennies on the dollar to atempt collecting Total amount owed on bill There should be a Maximum amount they can attempt to collect only a Reasonable percentage over price that paid for the account not where they can buy a closed acct for $2.00 to collect $600.00 for example Industry needs to be better controlled, regulated.
- Caller: Who Knows
- Fed UpThey have called me several times. Every time I pick up, they hang up. So I finally called them back, then they said they were looking to talk to me, so I said here I am, what do you want. They told me that I sound like a woman and they were looking for a man. I told them that I am the person they wanted to talk to. They said I was playing games. I said I wasn't and if they think that the person they are calling is playing games with them, maybe they shouldn't be calling anymore. They said that I wanted them to call me. (they still thought that I wasn't me on the phone) I said that I don't even know what it is about so why would I want them to call me, and hang up, never leaving a message. They told me to stop playing games and hung up. Plus the message I received when I first called is a debt collector, and I obviously don't want a debt collector to call me. So he straight up lied to me. Who's the one playing games now?
