This is Verizon Wireless, I promise. I work there. We do not leave messages all the time because it is not an urgent matter regarding your account. The west side of the country needs help with their call centers, so they set some up all over. My office is located in Michigan.

That's crap. I've gotten two calls in the last 3 days... On my land line; company not associated with Verizon.  This appears to be just a scam probably trying to develop a list of cell phone numbers to sell to other scumbags.

I got a call from this number a couple of nights ago.  She said she was calling on "behalf" of Verizon and asked for me by name and when I said "what do you want" without saying who I was, she said she wants  to go over some information with me.  I asked what information and she asked again if I was (my name).  I told her she didn't need to know that and what information does she want to go over.  I had called Verizon two days prior to get information on upgrading, so at first I thought they were following up, but after a few seconds I realized they were calling me on my LAND LINE, not my cell, and I thought it must be a scam so I hung up.  Why would they call a land line when I have a cell phone?

THIS IS A SCAM!!  They say its Verizon loyalty but they try to get your Verizon info so that they can then purchase phones on your account.

I called back. Maybe its Verizon maybe it's not? There is no way I am going to give them my personal information not knowing if it's really a Verizon person. It could be a scam to get my verizon personal information. if you call back... they are basically a stranger with a Verizon recording. They could be fixing to get my personal information for identity theft reasons. I blockEd the call on my phone.

Got these calls many many times, including late at night (I'm on the opposite coast as my area code).  Called back, got Verizon customer something.  Told them not to call me ever again.  They said they would put me on the do not call list.

Received call, did not answer.  After reading the comments on this number it's most likely a phishing scam to get your Verizon Account Information.  Verizon has all of our information and has given it to the US. Government so they should not be asking for the name on your account.  They know much more about you than your name.

You promise this is Verizon Wireless?  Wherever your call centers are we no longer trust you. It is unacceptable to violate the privacy of your customers.

These annoying twits interrupted other calls I was making twice.  I called them back and it is indeed Verizon's "Loyalty" service.  I assume it means the department that tries to sell you junk you don't want.

I told them that if they did not put me on a do not call list, I would immediately switch carriers.  The operator was nice enough, confirmed my ID in a reasonable manner which seemed legitimate, and then agreed to place me on the do not call list.  She did say it can take 30 days which I told her is preposterous.  We left it at that.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!   Bunch of morons passing as a marketing department.

They called me yesterday. I don't answer calls I do mot recognize.  So I googled this number and found this forum. It's unusual that it would be Verizon.  I've been with them for a decade and have never received a call from them. It's usually the other way around.  So it's obviously a scam, especially if they are asking you for your personal info or even to "verify" your info.  Come on people...your own company should already have your info. NEVER give your personal info and password. I read in an earlier post that some of you guys have done so. It's called phishing people.  Google it.
