Got a call from this number yesterday. Caller ID just said "Toll Free" and the number. It's most likely some type of a scam. I can't imagine that it actually is Verizon since I've had a Verizon cell phone for over 12 years.  But this call came in on my home landline with my local phone company, not Verizon.  Has to be a scammer or they would have called my cell.

DO NOT  -  DO NOT  -  DO NOT -  DO NOT  -  DO NOT  -  DO NOT  -  DO NOT  -  DO NOT  -  Give you telephone number, password and name over the telephone NEVER! You will call back to verify..... them call the head office of whom they say they are representing to see if it is a legitimate call.

Seems like a scam call.  Wouldn't be a surprise, that these folks are pretending to be a legit company in order to "mine" for information.  We have had hundreds of calls from scammers over the years, and so we don't answer unknown numbers anymore (and block as many numbers as possible).   Unfortunately, it appears as though it is most likely that  the unknown folks who are calling you, are liars and thieves.

If it really is Verizon the caller ID would (or at least should) show Verizon Wireless, Verizon Loyalty, etc. - NOT "Toll-Free -" !! I suspect it is just another scam....
