I don't have any student loans and why I was called several times? Feel very bad...

Got a call from this number with a very vague voicemail, telling me to call back immediately. They say they are associated with NSLSC (national student loans service centre). They do not identify their company (tricura canada), and ask for a SIN or loan number. Quite rude and condescending on the phone when I called back. Other numbers they are using are: 416 627 0359, and 647 943 3460.

I talked to the NSLSC this morning before tricura called, and my loan is in good standing with no missed payments. I am not sure why I am being harassed by tricura.

This is definitely not legitimate.  I have never had a student loan.  Nor would I have had a cell phone when I was young enough to get one.  But I have just received a voicemail on my cell phone regarding an outstanding student loan.  My daughter has a student loan, my name is not even the same as hers, and I am not associated with the debt in any way.  Definitely a clever scam, but still a scam.

For those saying this is a legit call for student loan repayment.. I am Canadian, in my 50s and got my degree in 1997. I have no student loan and owe nothing nor incurred any debts. I think this is a scam and council you to never give your SIN or other personal information to some unknown entity

This guy called Oct 24, 2020 @ 2:26 pm. The number he called from was 1-866-788-0288.States he is with Tricura- calling regarding Student loans.
Really dude you doing government work on a Saturday? My biggest concern these days is, who educating these people. If this has ever worked for these companies this also raises many other concerning questions about confidentiality and who is ensuring there is such a thing as confidentiality? This guy had to be kidding!

I am not in arrears on my student loan and they called but wouldnt tell me what the call was about untill I gave out all my crucial information, which I did not do. Now a few years ago I had a bit of a problem( couple late payments) during my divorce and the NSLC NEVER called me. They would email or send a letter to me and ask me to contact them just like all the government bodies we deal with in Canada.

Called me this afternoon and the lady couldn't even speak english. I kept asking what she wanted and she wouldn't tell me. She then hung up.
