- Brown Jenkins & Oneyear, PANo one ever picks up when we answer, but they call us repeatedly many times a day.
- Heidi| 1 replyI called them back. They said it was card member services. I don't have any credit cards. I told them to take me off their list.
- Caller: Card Member Services
- Heidi replies to Heidi"Card Member Services" just called me back again today after I asked them to take me off their calling list. They prompt you to put in your credit card number or click 2 to talk to a representative. When I go a lady, I asked her the name of the business. I asked for an address of the company and she would not give it to me. She needed my account information to look up my information. Then I asked her for the address for the complaint department of her "Card Member Services" company and again she could not provide that to me because she didn't have my account information. When I gave her my phone number to look up, she couldn't find my phone number in her system. Then she wanted my name which I would not give her. Then she asked for a business name, which I would not give her. I think it is very odd that a "Card Member Services" could not provide an address or head quarters address. Any litigate company would comply.
- DeeRec'd call from this number asking for one of the owner's by first name only. When I asked for the last name of the individual they were asking for they didn't have the correct name. I also told them he wasn't available anyway....no message was left. When they call back again I will just continue to hang up instead wasting my time.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DeePerson asked to speak with 2 of the 3 business partners. This time they had the correct information, unlike the last several times. No one avail because I wouldn't let him waste their time listening to the B.S. scam crap they are trying to unload. These type of phone calls usually warrant me picking up the line and hanging up right away. Sorry I answered ....

- DeeAnswered call, silence for the next 10 seconds, waited never said anything but there was a male on the other end just saying hello, hello then hung up. Idiots!

- CrissReceived a call from Maurice at this number stating they were from Elan credit card company and the payment was past due. Spoke with my bank and found this to be untrue.

- shutterThis number comes in at least twice daily and has for several months now. At first, I answered and they identified themselves as Credit Card Services and ask for my credit card number. I asked exactly what their call concerned and I was transferred to another person who immediately asked my name. I didn't say but I asked who she worked for and she said US Bank in Galion, Ohio. Told her she had wrong number and hung up. Thought about it and got steamed. So called back and said you can't call people and ask for their name and credit card number. And told her to take me off their calling list. No such luck!!! Once in awhile I answer but no one is there, at least for a few seconds before I hang up. Must be on an automatic calling rotation thing. Anyone had luck on getting off their call list?
- Caller: US Bank, Galion, Ohio
- PamI received a call from an unknown caller, so I let it go to voicemail. They left a message saying they were calling for US Bank (which is where I do my banking) and asked me to call them back at 866-790-5371. At first I thought it was a scam and most of the posts here backed up that assumption. But I had a business account with US Bank and a credit card account. I closed the business and closed the checking account, but hadn't gotten around to canceling the credit cards. So I thought I would get with it and make that call (to the number on the back of my card which is different from the number left on the message). Going through the menu, it indicated I had an outstanding balance (even though I had not charged anything on it). I asked to speak with a representative and explained the situation. She explained that I had an annual membership due (well, overdue actually) which she offered to delete and cancel the cards for me. She said the caller from the above number was legitimate...their outsourced collection agency.
So, bottom line. Call your bank or credit card in question and straighten out the issue with them. The other calls will then stop. But it is not a scam based on the information that US Bank gave me.- Caller: Collection Agency for US Bank

- KC| 1 reply22 calls in six days. Called back today. Spoke with a representative who asked for my name, address and social security number to "verify" the phone number. I stated that, all she needede is the the phone number, which, by law, must be removed from their data base if requested; that this has been reported to the Do Not Call Registry; and, that if any more calls come through, I'll refer the matter to the California State Attorney General. She hung up.
- Caller: Cardmember Services
- Mike in MD replies to KCThis appears to be a debt collection call, whether valid or not is not clear. As such, the Do Not Call Registry does not apply. Debt collection calls are specifically exempted since they have their own laws to follow. You can request that all contact concerning a debt be done in writing and they must comply but that normally requires a notarized request sent via certified mail for proof of your request. If the alleged debtor is not you nor a member of your household you can request to be removed as a contact but if the collector has reason to believe you can help them locate the alleged debtor, they may continue to attempt to call to locate them.
- j replies to findingthetruthThis is a very good reply
- Phillip HamblySomeone from this number calls me 5 times a day, I only answered once and the India sounding guy said he's from Canadian Pharmacy. Yea right calling 5 times a day! I gave my DOB thinking they might be real, after the man asked for DOB I got very suspicions. I'm sure it's not a US Bank collection agent. I suspect some kind of scam.
Why would anyone wanna call someone 5+ times a day who has told them they don't want anything to do with them? Right there it says that person is stark raving nuts. The only reason would be to get some weird kinda thrill and not care that people see them as crazy.- Caller: India guy
