Some guy called asking about my visa and entering me in a sweepstakes. He didn't notify me the business he was associated with. I talked with a supervisor and still wasn't told the business name then he asked for the card number and signed me up for monthly magazines. I tried to cancel but the people wouldn't. I'm afraid they might take money off of my visa card:

I would like to thank some of you for commenting on this about this number.  I started to research the number and found these, so I hung up on them before they could get my number and stuff.  Though, I'm still trying to find out why they knew my Phone Number, Address, and who I was....So I would like to give out some new information.

They told me I was entered into a sweepstakes, and I took a survey.
The guy, his name was Steven, told me the sweepstakes was going to be done July 15th
Steven told me he has only been there 2 days
There where many prizes, including a Car, Trip to Miami, Trip to Australia and a $2500 cash prize.
    His supervisors name was Dan
Told me Steven was one of there better employees(if he was only there 2 days, I see a problem in this.)
My call number thing was C-208
They told me i would receive a Diamond Watch, Male size on Wednesday, or Thursday and that i was subscribed to all of these things.

I would like it if anybody else that actually went through with this and gave them there card to tell us if anything happened.  They didn't get my cared, but it doesn't mean they wont try and send it to me.

Also, when i hung up, it was like an auto-recall thing.  Exactly when i hung up, the phone rang again with the number.  It did that twice, and i answered.  They said "Sorry we where disconnected, so please, what was expiration of your card?"

Hope what I said helped!  He didn't get my expiration date, so i should be safe.

I would also like to have it noted that THEY SOUNDED LEGIT!  So be careful, they are either the real deal, or they are people who know how to scam people.

I just got the call - AND - THE SAME CODE FOR THE SWEEPTAKES AS you Anthony!! Sounds like a big scam to me.
We were about to sit down and eat. So I kept telling them that. They kept saying 'it wont take a minute!' yeah right.
I didnt give any card details, but I hate when they pry too much into personal information. Why do they need to know when I graduated, for a magazine subscription?! lol

AVOID THESE CALLERS! Also had another number from them, which was 304-995-9516, thats what they first called from, then when I hung up on them, i got the auto-recall from the 866 number. My wife answered and they just said "Is Dale there?" She said no. There was a pause and the woman was like "well, I was just talking to him! We were verifying his entry" She hung up on them, and they havent called back.

Think I'll play with them though! Ic'll call back and ask them why everyone's weepstakes code is the same! Maybe everyones a winner! LOL

C-208 is also the number they gave me... When I refused to give my credit card number they got very defensive saying that I'm protected by my credit card company and nothing will happen to me..But when I finally got a word in and said no and hung up they called back.  I gave the phone to my friend who pretended to be my father and still the "manger" gave my friend crap...  The guy I talked to was Ben and he also said he worked there for two days... When I was sent to the manager he asked me if Ben was helpful and nice... but never gave me his own name?  This was real creepy..

They called me on two numbers, this and (701)200-7284 was the other number.

This is a total scam. They called my husband and he gave them his card number because they told him that he would get 4 magazine subscriptions and the diamond watch that he was going to give my for Mother's day. When they told him that the charge was going to be $60.00 per month he told them he wanted to cancel they told him he couldn't, he hung up on them thinking that it was over. I was checking our back account and noticed that there was a pending charge for the magazines on our account.

I then did a Google search on the 800-806-4680 phone number that was associated with the charge and found out about the scam, apparently they charge the card randomly and no one answers the number to have the charges reversed.

I had my husband go directly to the bank and cancel his card and have a new one issued.

That is the only way to stop the charges.

I just received a call from 502-994-8651 went through the whole thing about magazines, contest and the watch. "Wayne" from Minnesota was the person originally helping me he told me all about how he works two jobs and plays in a band and has three kids. He asked me a bunch of questions about what I would do with the money if I won the contest. I could hear kids in the background so I'm wondering if this is a work from home scam and this poor guy has no idea what he's gotten himself into. He knew my address, name, etc. I went through all of the survey questions and let him transfer me to his supervisor. With my order number C-208. The same as the rest of you. I hung up when he asked for my card number. They never actually said what company they work for or how they are doing this contest. The number 866-796-2206 called back twice after I hung up on them. When you call the number back it rings several times and then says, "You have reached customer service. You will be contacted." Then silence. When I call back the original number it says, "the number or code you have dialed is incorrect." then repeats the number in Spanish and says afterward, "message 7."

I got a call like this a few years ago with magazines and a ladies watch. It seems as if they have picked back up some old scams to make some money.

I got the same call just now. At first, 814-547-6398 called, talking about these magazine and ladies watch things. I hung up, and  866-796-2206 called back. I happened to leave my card at home when I went to gym. The supervisor seemed to be unhappy, and said I was trying to fool him. He asked "why you take your cellphone with you to gym, but not have your card on you? Just pull it out your wallet...' I don't know why I have to take my card to gym. Anyway, I told him I can go home and get the card. Then I check the number, and find the information here. Fortunately they didn't get my card.

They called me and tricked me into paying for these magazines. I wasn't even all there seeing I was studying for my finals while having a head cold. Luckly I saw this and canceled my card.

Some guy called me on this number and entered me into a sweepstakes. They never got my card number but they asked a lot of questions like my birthday, age, card type, and address. They already knew my address and said they were going to mail magazines and a watch to me. I told them I wasnt interested and wouldn't let me get off the line. It was very wierd but I'm not sure if it's a scam or if it was real.
