JC, I received a letter, Letter Head has Allen L. Adkins & Associates, P.C. (Attorneys at Law) it has Judgment in Cause No:  Judgment Date:.. and they want to make a settlement on a cc. At the bottom in Bold it says: this communication is from a debt collector. Do you think this is a scam or are these people actually making a court date??? Thank You

it's a real law firm attempting to collect what may or may not be a legitimate CC debt. don't ignore it & risk getting a default judgement against you.

It is a law firm now going by the name Moss Law Firm.  They sued me for a judgement and when I paid it off, they NEVER went back to the court with the release of judgement.  I'm having a difficult time getting them to produce my release and the judgement is still on my credit report as active!
