Number was on a mail piece that had perforated tear-offs and a fake cheque, a fake "record ID", and no return address, just "motor vehicles services".  No doubt because I had bought a vehicle two months prior, the DMV or dealership sold my contact info, and this third party wanted to sell me a useless extended warranty.

We got two letters in the mail about our cars that we bought not too long ago.

One with this number and one with 866-426-0075

Had just transferred the car to my name, and got this notice too. Glad to see someone else caught on or else I would have thought this was some legit company. Scam 100%.  It says at the bottom in fine print we are not affiliated with your dealership or manufacturer and this is not a check.

Bought a car, got the same suspicious/fake DMV letter with tear-off sides and the number 1 866 799 6459 and a check at the bottom. the number is nowhere associated with the DMV. The letter is dated over a week ago and the notice says it has to be paid within 7 days of the notice date and else call for further info kinda stuff.
