    A machine came up, they said they were PSEG Long Island. Is this legit?

    I received a call from 1-866-800-1847.  The message said that they were calling from PSEG and that I need to call to update my account and when I call back to refer to a code number. It definitely seemed like a scam or phishing call.
    I called PSEG (from the nmumber on my statement) and confirmed that it was them calling.  When they call a customer it will show up on the caller ID as many different numbers.  I had missed paying my March bill so they were calling as a courtesy to remind me to pay my bill. All good.

    Definitely a scammer. I reported them to PSE&G and they confirmed that this is a scam. DON'T FALL FOR IT

    Former PSEG employee. It's a scam! Only call numbers listed on your invoices. I received the call today. Caller ID showed Farmingdale NY with number.
