Call everyday without fail, sometimes 3x/day.  When I answer, there is never anyone on the phone.  I called back and got a voice message that went into a continuous loop.  Is there a way to block this number?

This number calls EVERY DAY, sometimes twice a day.  I (or someone else) picks up, and there is never anyone at the other end of the line.  I do a call-back.  They, at first would not identify themselves, except to say they were a "collection" agency, collecting for someone who does NOT live at our address.  Interesting enough, the person is a family member - these people are phishing.  I have asked that they stop calling.  They have not.  They are now identifying themselves as Allied Interstate collection agency.  I've called Allied Interstate about calls to my house, and requested them to stop.  They claim they have never called our house.  I had no choice but to report I had to report the scammers to the police.  They are going to do a trace.

Repeatedly get calls from this number asking for someone not at this address or number.  I've asked that the number be removed from their list, but they call back looking for someone else each time.

This company has been calling my house between one and three times a day for the past three years.  They don't leave a message on my answering machine, and when I pick up the phone, there is no one there.  Last year they were leaving messages on my machine, saying "We are calling from Allied Interstate about "the debt."  Call us back at..." and my machine would hang up before I could get the full number.  The year before that, they were leaving messages on my machine for a woman I've never heard of.  When I tried to call them back to tell them that person isn't at this number, I was put on hold indefinitely.  There should be a law against this kind of harrassment.  I have NO debts.  I don't owe ANYONE money.  The only remedy I can see is changing my phone number, since there doesn't seem to be any way to stop these people.

I read most of the comments, and  I have the same problem, they call EVERY SINGLE DAY, and when I do pick up there is either a ring, like I called them or just dead air. I'm tired of the calls. They call at every hour of the day and late evening, like now it's 10 mins until 9 at night. I'm sure not going to be talking to any reputable company that late!

I get calls from this number several times a day, everyday including Sunday.

Keep getting calls from this number.  When I answer no one says anything.

Numerous calls per day- they never a message. If you pick upthe phone they hang up.  only the phone 1-866-801-0004 shows.

I have tried everything.  I have called them.  When myself or husband call they tell us we are liers.  So we had our lawyer call she asked for there address and a copy of the bill that this person owes or that we owe.  The lady told her that is not her job.  We need to pay them what they want or they will not stop calling.  Then told her they do not need to give her the address of where they are.  So she is filling suit on the company for wrongful buisness practice and harassment.  They now call her business and cell phone 10 to 15 times a day.

These people call day after day. Asking for someone, who happens to have the same last name as us. I have told them numerous times, "no one by that name lives here". PLEASE STOP

I started getting these calls today and decided to look them up' I have no outstanding debt, so these guys are doing a skip trace. I regretfully say that I used to do this type of work for one of the largest Co's in the world and we outsourced accounts to coll agencies because we did not want to break the law to collect, so we sold the  accounts for probably 15cents on the dollar after they get written off the big co books. These Coll agencies are scum of the earth. ABOUT THE ONLY way to get them to stop is to document extensively and FILE a complaint with your STATE attorney General under the FDCPA law.  From what I have read here , I know the MO exactly and they are indeed in violation of this law.

i have gotten several calls from this number i do not answer 800 numbers. they never leave a message on the machine. if it is so important they should leave a message

REMEMBER FIRST OFF: they MUST DISCLOSE WHO THEY ARE ON THROUGH CALLER ID INFORMATION.  Using private, unknown or TollFree Call is hiding, and it is an offense that is subject to fines by local and federal regulations. REPORT THIS TO YOUR STATE LEVEL OF THE FTC/FCC

IF you owe money to anyone (hospital, DR, etc) they may have been the ones to buy the old debt OR they got their hands on some bills that have run out of their statutues.  There are currently 8 lawsuits that were filed in Illinios against this company, ONE of the complaints (which is AGAINST FCC regulations and a violation of federal laws, their collection practices, etc) is they call REPEATEDLY and DO NOT LEAVE a message on your machine.  They must leave a message OR else is IT harassment as HOW can you try to take care of the 'alledgedly owed' bill OR even know about it, that they are trying to collect on it.  They will than after a set period of time, try to escalate the collection OR they will sell it off to someone else.  Answer the phone, NEVER fear anyone 'attempting' to collect a debt.  NEVER give out information either.  They do NOT need to know NOR do they have the right to know where you work, etc.  Give them an address to validate the bill/money in question and tell them YOU want them to certify it.  If a medical bill, who, what when where and HOW was the bill obtained and go from there.  IF a CCard, you want a copy of the actual credit card form you filled out AND a copy of the bills. DO NOT acknowledge anything to them.  BUT request these items. It is YOUR right and ppl are not using the law to their advantage.  Be smart people and NEVER give out your social security number over the phone.  They do NOT need it to find in their system, as they should NOT have it at their disposal, IF you give it to them, you more than likely will than end up with a bogus ding on your credit report.  THE only ones that need your SS# is the Social Security Administration and IRS/State for tax/es filing.

I just received a call on my cell phone from these people which I did not answer.  I had another number call me with the same scam and I reported them to the Federal Trade Commission.  The last time the other company called I told them that is what I did and they haven't called back.  If these people continue to call I will do the same thing and tell them that I have done so.

Calls my number every day and there is no answer most of the time.  I talked to a person who was looking for someone who is not related, doesn't have the same last name.  I told them I don't know this person.  They said they would remove my number, that lasted about 2 weeks and now the calls have begun again.  I'm going to get myself a whistle and start blowing it in their ears. Maybe they'll get the message!!!!
