- Phyll| 29 repliesIt is Regent Health Care calling to speak to my mother-in-law. She is not able to take the calls, and they don't want to talk to anyone else. They could be calling about a hospital debt. Not sure. Would like to see other people's input.

- Leonard| 1 replyGot a message on both my cell phone number and my mother's home phone number saying "Bruce Arnold" is trying to reach me and to call back 866-812-3874 ex. 2182. No plans to call it back until I figure out a little more about it. No caller ID on mother's home phone, and cell wasn't turned on at the time message was left; missed caller ID there too. No company name was left.
- Worried| 1 replyThis woman has called twice...trying to get information. We think they are probably connected to a credit card fraud ring. When we asked her for her information, she hung up.

- hate_ignoranceGot a call from these people, completely ignorant and calling customers liars stating that they have done all they can do with my account. First off, they never sent any letters or notices like they are stating and then they starting threatening me with old recordings they have of me. Supposedly they are going to send me a letter regarding my account...yeah right...let's see if it happens this time.

- feel you painArgent Health Financial is indeed the company. They have asked us to pay for something they believe I owe from a hospital bill but could not provide any proof - like dates of service or a bill (HCFA. They told me to call my health insurance company for details....I asked them to mail me the details and they did not. I finally wrote them a letter telling them to stop calling and provide me with written documentation (date of service, service provide, amount paid by my insurnace) or I was not going to consider this a valid debt. Still waiting for that and it has been about 3 months...today they started calling again.

- BeeBeeIf you sent them a Cease Communication Letter and have written proof that they received it, yet they are CONTINUING to call, you need to inform them that you are recording their calls for the purpose of turning them in to the FDCPA for violation of Section 805:
c) CEASING COMMUNICATION. If a consumer notifies a debt collector in writing that the consumer refuses to pay a debt or that the consumer wishes the debt collector to cease further communication with the consumer, the debt collector shall not communicate further with the consumer with respect to such debt, except --
(1) to advise the consumer that the debt collector's further efforts are being terminated;
(2) to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor may invoke specified remedies which are ordinarily invoked by such debt collector or creditor; or
(3) where applicable, to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor intends to invoke a specified remedy.
If such notice from the consumer is made by mail, notification shall be complete upon receipt.
(d) For the purpose of this section, the term "consumer" includes the consumer's spouse, parent (if the consumer is a minor), guardian, executor, or administrator.- Caller: Argent Financial Services

- cnmJust wanted to let you all know that this number is Argent Healthcare, and they are a debt collector for medical services. I have outstanding bills from the emergency room after a car accident, however, the hospital never submitted the bills to my insurance company. I made copies of all of the bills and correspondence from Argent. I sent a copy of the packet to the hospital, the insurance adjuster and Argent. They keep calling, so I finally answered and when I told the woman the situation she became argumentative and said that it didn't matter that I sent the documentation in, that this was the remaining balance and I was repsonsible. I told her she was wrong because I had spoken with my adjuster and nothing had been submitted by the hospital, and she only had the bills I sent him. She became more argumentative and threatened that if I did not call back by a certain time TODAY, immediate legal action would be taken. So what I was wondering what a huge coincidence it was that I just happened to speak with her on the very last day anything could be done before legal action? yah right.... maybe they should try getting their facts straight.

- Gliowien| 4 repliesI am in litigation with my husband's HMO for refusing to pay for an ER visit when I fell and broke my shoulder...the HMO saying I should have driven 300 miles to an "in network" ER instead of going to the one closest.
I finally just had to turn my cell phone off because I got calls from this number upwards of 10 a day...they started at exactly 8:01 and continued until 8:58 on the dot all day long. They actually started calling me the day before my scheduled surgery, and harrassed my family all day long the day of surgery, even after being told I was in surgery and couldn't talk!
When I tried talking to them they just screamed and talked over me, refused to send me copies, refused to tell me which of the offices involved in the litigation hired them.
There is a special place in hell for people like this...kharma will get them in the end...but boy-oh-boy would I like to be there to see it happen!- Caller: told me three different names

- Rachel| 1 replyI recently got a new cell phone number/account (less than one month ago - haven't even gotten the first bill yet!) and got a call from this number while at work. Unable to answer, and no message was left. It logged the number in caller ID but no name was available. I personally believe it's a scam because I haven't even had this number long enough to have given it to anyone other than personal friends and my job.
- ZaneI keep getting calls from this number and refuse to answer them. I am sure that this is a scam because I don't give my number out to anyone except for m y family and friends. I am thinking about just answering it one day and going of on them for being complete frauds. They shouldn't be allowed to bother people like that.
- BarbieQArgent Health Care. They are a collection agency and do not collect just med. bills anymore.
They have expanded and collect many different debts owed now. Including
alot of cable bills. We had a debt to Mcleod, our cable provider, and when we switched to Mediacom they charged us for 2 more weeks EVEN though we called them as soon as our number got switched. Mediacom had told us if
we wanted to keep our same phone number NOT to call until everything was
switched over to them. We called the next day and they still billed us
for 2 more weeks. NOT PAYING IT!!
They use a recording with your name in it and tell you if you
are not that person to hang up but if you are to call back at the
number they leave.- Caller: Not provided

- Joanne| 1 replyLady left message, asked me to call back. I did, wouldn't give me any info unless I gave her my birthdate which I refused. Then she became angry, said she had called 18 times (which I have no record!) and that she would continue to call unless I gave her my birthdate. I told her I would gladly verify any info she had but would not give her the info. She got very upset. I told her I was on the no-call list and she said she had no such list. Very rude. Must be a scam!
- Caller: thought they said Argent Health Care
- JohnMCall received from 866-812-3874 on a brand-new GoPhone in the Oklahoma City area, just purchased from Radio Shack yesterday and activated last night. The caller did not identify themselves, wanted to speak with "Nancy Hilts"(?) I told them this was a cell phone registered to (my name), and they apologized and hung up.
- davejJust got an automated call from these people asking for my father. Gee he died almost four years ago. If there is still an outstanding medical bill floating around somewhere out there they haven't sent anything in writing.

- Bob Bobberson| 1 replyReceived a recorded message from this number a while back. (I don't answer 800 numbers/unknown callers and let it go to voicemail.) Called the number back and they claimed I had medical debt. Okay, I do...but when I asked her to mail me the information about my debt, she said she would. That was 3 months ago and I have not received anything. Luckily though, they haven't called back either since then. I'm thinking this isn't legit. Maybe they get ahold of tossed-out medical records/bills? Either way, I say avoid them.
I freaking love this site. I'm going through all the 800/866/888 numbers in my call logs.haha- Caller: Argent
