They left a message, but I have no idea what they said and neither does the dictation feature on my phone.  Maybe "Raymond Ray" or "Raisin Rain."  LOL

They said they are Corporate Check Cashing, told me I owe money because someone cash my check to one of their company. I refuse to pay them, but they said I stop the check, they did not care why I stop the check they said thats my problem with the contractor. I finally called the police, I told this company to call police on me or take me to court. They did not listen and keep calling me.

So block the number.

That is not how checks are handled. You write a check to me. I go and cash it. The check bounces. The person or bank that cashed the check then comes after me. I then have to come after you. They cannot come after you directly bypassing me.  This looks like a generic untraceable name to me.  In any case, no state allows for verbal collection of a bad check. In all cases in all 50 states, you must be notified in writing and in most cases by certified, return receipt mail giving you X number of days to cure the default. Make them follow the law.

The people at this 866-812-5551 number are a debt collection agency for CheckSmart.  Since July, 2019 they have been calling the Habitat for Humanity office looking for a Curtis Carter or Morris Love.  These individuals have never worked at Habitat and it is definitely frustrating to see this number pop up.  I have asked several times for them to remove our number, but the continue to call.  Today is September 4th and believe it or not they called again!  I which I could block their number!

Looks like their main branch is in Ohio.  A certified, return receipt letter telling them to stop calling you should work.  If not, you can sue them.

This company called my child with the correct first name but different last name-obviously not the person that is in debt to them! I don't know why they need to call children! Other than to harass and or scam my child -they DO NOT have my permission to call!

Just called and I didn't answer.

Said this call will be recorded.  They are trying to locate my sister and asked me to call them and give them address and phone numbers for her and anyone she might be living with.  Pretty presumptuous of them.  Sister has been dead for 7 years.  She did not leave any forwarding contact information.  If she went to hell then the SOB's can look her up when they get there!!

This phone is weird, you called them back, they said call back during business hours, they are Checksmart, I never heard of this company, must be a scammer..

Received a call and left a msg. They said They were Speedy cash. Since I had issues with scammers trying to get loans in my name I thought this might be one of those. When I called they answered "**financial management. I said who, is this not Speedy cash? They quickly said yes, and asked for my name, date of birth and last four of my social. Why I asked. They said to verify my account. Yeap, that's not happening. I I hang up.

Said they were from Speedy Cash and then asked for my address and last 4 of social. Wasn’t comfortable giving that out. Asked what this was for, and they said without the info they couldn’t continue, so I said I guess we’re done then.
