Not going to get much business by calling & hanging up when we answer!!

Keeps calling between 6-7am.  I do not answer as usually asleep...does not leave a message.

Yep - they keep calling and then hanging up when I answer.  Annoying!!

They called me at work for weeks wanting to save me money on my phone bill.   They seemed in a big hurry to push me into a decision.  They said they were with Verizon. The fax they sent over even said Verizon with the logo & everything.  Thankfully I went with my gut & called the phone number on my Verizon bill.  SURPRISE they were not Verizon!!!!!   Just another scam!

I sign a proposal with them, verizon was suppose to come and install my fios on the 23rd then, they call me that verizon did not have fios in my area, so they will give the best for dsl, they were suppose to fax me. nothing happened asnd now their phone does not answer... Is that serious??

This was a call from Verizon... seeking to get us to change phone service to them

I've been getting calls from this number and these guys want to lower my phone bills. They faxed me information on Verizon letterhead with copies of my billing information. They were very rude when I told them I didn't have a chance to review their information. They told that I'm paying high bills and that I can keep on paying them. Then the jerk hung up .

Very pushy. Said that they were my new at&t representative.  Sent me 4 pages by fax and told me to sign them and immediately send them back.  I told him I had to look them over first.  The contracts have the at&t logo all over them, but the email address and the caller id didn't identify them as at&t.  I looked up the number and of course they are not with at&t.

Continued faxing me a proposal estimate with Verizon logo on it.  If you call the number it is AMERICOM.  Misrepresents as a Verizon representative

Someone called and represented themselves as a Verizon representative, very rude when I asked them questions about who they really were, wanted to switch me to someone to confirm info, told them I needed to know if I was really speaking to a Verizon representative so give me a number to call them back, when I called them back the recording said they were Americom Verizon, then I called Verizon myself and they told me they were misrepresenting themselves and that it is a scam

Called at work and asked to speak with the person who handles our internet and telephone. Told him we were an Internet Service Provider. He asked me to repeat the company name and then said, "well I have never heard of you, so you must suck," and hung up.

This is not Verizon. The sales pitch is a lie.
It is a independent privately owned company named Americom.

yes i had a caller who was offering me to change my phone bill called a "Custo-Package" to make it cheaper, no contract..... and then he was making an example of mcdonalds cheeseburger and a bigmac... "WTF?"

when he asked me for my name i ask him i need to speak with my partner. he suddenly started talking about burger king burgers.... then i told him to give me his number because he sounded ridiculous now:

This is Americom. A privately owned company that instructs their telemarketers to misrepresent themselves in the first few words of their sales pitch. They are scum.

These guys are LIARS. They are Americom, not Verizon. They are privately owned. Verizon should sue them

Hey, They are verizon reps. If you went into State Farm and got insurance you would not go into a State Farm office, those people are authorize agent of State Farm but you walk in there and still get your insurance. Same with Americom, they are authorized agents for Verizon, not a scam. If Americom handles your Verizon account you would still get billed by Verizon, you would not see Americom on your bill and your price would go down.

I had Americom help me with my bill and everything with my billing stayed with Verizon. The Americom agents and 100% direct agents for Verizon. they saved me $150 dollars a month and gave me internet for free.

Same as all of you.  Someone kept calling DAILY and was extremely rude and pushed too much to get a committment.  I knew it was a scam and held off.  The calls continued daily and I was told the same as others (in a rude manner) to keep paying high bills.  They said they were Verizon anad gave a phone number and name.  I never called abck but will report them.

When he asked me for my zip code, I knew for sure it was not a representative from Verizon ("uh, don't you have all the information in my account record, and why do you need that to send a fax?"). I got burned once by one of these spoofers, so my guard was up, and I when I resisted giving information and told him why, he had the nerve to act incensed that I would think that he was one of those kind of calls.
