My ex-wife screwed my credit up completely.  Friday afternoon I was informed to contact these guys and they investigated everything that my ex had fraudulently done online as well as applications in person in my name.  They contacted me back yesterday with an offer to clear everything up, and I jumped on the opportunity ----- expecting my letters tomorrow in the mail, but they faxed and emailed my correspondence....  Finally, some good guys!!

I just finished my payment option with these guys, and they got all my paperwork to my attorney this afternoon. My attorney said that I was lucky that I went through them vs. civil court proceedings.  Very reasonable company...

I actually followed a paper trail to these guys to where the credit bureaus had my debt placed.  It was a payday line of credit loan i forgot to pay a couple years back ---- I contacted their client who referred me directly to this office.... The dude I spoke with was cool and wasn't pushy. Told me that their client is the one who sues and they are simply retained. I had no problems settling whatsoever. Can't be a scam if its on my report and I took the money. My payment ran yesterday.

There are a lot of fake comments on this page.  I think people who owe debts are more likely to search for numbers online, and of course, that means you're likely to end up here.  The people leaving such positive "reviews" for this company are people who work at the company.  They are trying to give you the impression that they are "good people" who will treat you with "dignity and respect" if you call them or accept their call.  Odds are, you can expect the exact opposite.  Debt collectors can be very shady; here are just two examples.

    1.  I once received a letter in the mail from a debt collector who promised that if I called they would treat me with dignity and respect and that they would work out a payment arrangement that worked for me.  I was so surprised by this novel, yet fresh approach that I called them.  Instead, they treated me like a criminal.  I offered reasonable payment arrangements (two payments in two months), but they refused.  I asked to speak to a supervisor, who also refused.  At the time, he said he heard promises like mine all the time and that he wasn't buying it.  The debt was for the University of Phoenix.  I owed them for a class I did not finish.  What did I do?  I hung up and I paid the University of Phoenix directly through my student account online, according to the terms I was able to meet.  Never heard from the company again.

    2.  I once received a call where a man claimed to be investigating a case of identity theft involving my social security number.  He asked me to return his call and reference a case number.  He was essentially pretending to be a police officer or some other government body.  He was trying to persuade me to call by lying about the purpose of his call.  He never said it was about a debt.  I never called him.  (Actually, I might have because he never made a second call; I can be really mean to these guys when they hit below the belt.)

So be wary of whomever this company is.  If you owe a debt, you know who you owe.  Just pay them directly.  Send them money orders in whatever amounts you can until the debt is paid in full.  That is my policy, anyway.  Why pay a collection agency when you can pay the actual source?  I've never encountered a company that wouldn't take a payment even after they'd sent it off to collections.  Saves me a lot of frustration from companies who threaten, lie, and try to intimidate you for direct access to your checking account information.

If a company needs to submit fake comments like the above, they can't be trusted.  That's my opinion, anyway.

If all these people giving glowing reports on their great experience with RF&A are for real, what brought them to 800notes in the first place?    Has their experience been so positive that they feel morally obligated to endlessly cruz the internet for any hint of negativity so they can refute it?    Amazing how a collection agency can be such a powerful force for good  that they can transform a once recalcitrant group of dead beats into a pack of devoted zealots eager to defend the collection agency that showed them the light and led them to fiscal salvation.    My only regret is that I don't owe them money.  :(

It apparently is not this company who is sueing, they are retained by others and simply assist in closing it out or settling... I'm going through them, and my account is owned by Northern Resolutions. I contacted the place where I took out my original loan and traced it to Northern Resolutions.  I was treated with respect when Rubin and Feinstein contacted me....

Who cares if they treat their employees like you with respect (hard as that is to believe). And why would you deserve any respect, after you or your criminal associates were already caught making fake posts on this site ... you think this one is any more believable??? No wonder you can't get a real job, scammer!

Sounds to me like someone who is hoping to refute what I wrote on the first page, in the hopes it will not be seen because your comment appears on a new page.  Let's fix that...

I got a call from this number saying that I was a possible co-signer for a loan with a person I had never heard of before, and that they would deliver documents to me unless I called back within 24 hours to cancel. I could barely understand most of this message and it seemed very unprofessional. I did call back and left a message saying not to deliver any documents, but the whole thing seems like a scam to me.
