Got call at 10:41AM, Monday, 11-02-09 from 800 Service, at 866-833-6030. Wanted to speak to a person that works here. Asked her what was her call for she asked me was I ? that person. Asked her waht was call for and she told me if I would tell her if I was ? she could tell me. I told her we was getting repeated calls from this number and I knew waht it was-a credit card company and asked her to take us off of calling list. They called three times last Friday.

Many, many calls from this number. It is a recorded call saying "This is an important call...Please hold for the next available agent". Even when I did wait for someone to come to the phone..no one came to the phone.
These calls average around 10-20 calls per WEEK!!!!!!

I've been getting a call from this number every weekday morning for the past month - they usually leave a message requesting that I call back, but I suspect they're just collecting names and numbers to sell to telemarketers or something. I set my phone to block the number so that it doesn't ring, but the missed calls still show up and they keep leaving messages.

continuous calls by this company for the past 2+ years, even though i have told them many, many times that i do not know the person they keep asking for, nor have i ever met them; that they must have had this number previous to me or they must have an incorrect phone number.

still, the calls continue. they tried to con my girlfriend into giving personal information such as her account number, etc. i called the number back and the same woman answered directly and said she was from 'card services'.  my bank is based in the southeast US (if you have an account with them you'll know the 3/4 letters). i asked her where the bank she was calling from was based out of... said the caribbean. i then she asked me for my name; i refused, then i said i have no debt/reason for collection calls constantly, and she asked for my account number to pull up so we could 'straighten it out'. of course i said yeah right, i'm calling the bank fraud/card services to verify and deal with them, not some shady person from the islands who calls me 10x a day.

so beware of giving out information... i'm pretty positive she was trying to get MY account info to pay off/take money from to pay off 'X' person's debt. i don't play that, i'll be contacting the bank Monday, and verify if this person is even affiliated with them, and if so, I'm going to speak to some higher-up's to end these constant harassment calls to pay off debt that isn't even mine.

ONLY in a libertarian paradise like the USA  is getting to be where you have corporations or fake corporations trying to scam hard working people and getting away with it. Call you senators and tell them about it. And tell them that you want tougher laws to protect us from scammers, They might try to say that such laws would be socialism, then you can tell the senators staff whom you talk to, not to drive on our socialist roads any more if they do not like socialism. for we want the government to serve the people not corporations.
 Also call 888-382-1222 to get on the national do not call list. It will take a month to be go in effect it could be just for cell phones?.

According to my caller ID this number has been calling my phone about 10 -15 times a day.  They never leave a message.  I am going to report them to the FCC for harrassment and disturbing my peace.

Your post is stupid and does not address the issue of the unwanted phone calls in any way.  If you have some type of political drivel to regugitate to the sheeple of America willing to listen, do it on some MSNBC website...NOT HERE!  

Socialism is BAD, we do NOT want it here, nor do we need excessively written laws on a miad of incredulous areas like "erroneous phone calls"!  What are you going to do when/if the calls originate from Nigeria?  You cannot legislate international telemarketers, so in essence you ONLY create more legal red-tape for LEGITIMATE American companies.  Your phone will still continue to be a hassle.  YOU ARE A BAFOON!

This company "Card Services" continue to call me for no particular reason.  They are disturbing my life, and harrassing me at all times during the day.  I would like them to stop trying to contact me, I have nothing to speak to them about, in any way.

Different people call our school every day asking for the same person who has not worked here for over two years.  I've explained to them every time they call that this person no longer works here.  I've been very nice to them but calling two and three times a day is harrassing.  They told us they would remove our number from their records but they have not.  This is a constant interruption to our school.  Can you please help with this problem  Thank you.

Help yourself to protection under the FDCPA. Workplaces get special mention and can revoke call consent on behalf of the alleged debtor. Given that your tormentor, like most in the profession, is trained to disbelieve anything which does not score a commission, you might have to turn up your volume on paper. Send a cease-comm notice via USPS Certified with return card. The FTC and many consumer watchdogs explain how to draft one. This will set a legal landmine, as such a notice is ignored at their peril.

Got about 10 calls from this number this week. They even called my parents house ( I haven't lived there in 30 years) asking for me.  I tried several times to call this number back but it just hangs up, no one ever answers. This is Strange.  They said they were from Ally or allied financial. Not sure what this is about.

Please hold for the next operator......um no thanks! I don't know who this is, but they need to quit calling.

This is a scam corporation that preys on the elderly or anyone who might take them seriously. They used a local bank name but i know that bank would not call with that type of vague identification. They are low-life scum bags who will take any information you may provide and steal your hard earned money. Be diligent about any information you give out. Double check any service that claims they are debt collectors.

They call ALL THE TIME at ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT OR DAY!

Call blocker might be your best bet.

Several calls a day . How can I stop this. Spoke with young lady on phone who refused to give any information regarding reason for call.

I gave them my name and number, am I I'm trouble? Can they do anything bad with that information?
