This education.com guy called my office number and asked for someone else. I offered to give him her new number.  He started right in on his sales pitch with me, and would not give up. He made no sense. I said I was retiring; no need to continue my schooling. He said, "This isn't schooling. It's an on-line thing--an education on line." He pushed and pushed. It was pathetic. I had to yell "NO!" in the middle of the office and hang up.

The caller calls and just sits on the phone. We will say hello several times and no one will say anything. We get these several times a day.

The number is a fake.  With today's technology you can have caller ID show any number you want.  

I think this party is related to the following number also: 888-000-9999, I have been getting calls from both numbers today and the online info sounds very similar.

Scam...give them NO INFO

First of all I dont anwer wierd looking phone number. As this number called me, I did pick up. But I tried returning the call back and it happended to be some over seas, number.

I get calls like these all the time. No messages- several times a day.
I am pretty aware where I type my phone numbers in to. Does any one know if someone out there sells phone lists anymore?

Received a call today on my cell phone, but I did not answer and they did not leave a message

I also received a call. I tried to call back and message stated all operator were busy leave message and number we'll call back.
First off if you don't want to tell me who you are....don't friggin bother me.

I've been receiving calls from this number. Also from number 1-866-580-1227, on this one it's just a recording with a message for someone who owns money to a loan company.
  I think that cell phone companies sell some of our numbers. I got a contract with ATT 8 days ago. On the day I bought the phone, 5 minutes after the phone was activated, I started receiving calls from both this numbers. In 8 days I've received 23 calls from these numbers.

 I'm new at cell phones. Anybody knows how I can block incoming calls from them?

Received several calls from this number on three different days
and as late as today received two. The first time nobody was on
the line and the secoind time I stayed with the call and got an
answer. The lady was a foreigner and asker several questions about
diabetes, etc so I asked who she was calling for. She stated she
was with "Web MD Daily" so I hung up.

Got a call from this number at my work number and it was a recording--"if you know your party's extention, press 1...etc"  When I press "0" to speak with an operator, the call just loops back to the recording.  No one answered...

If your lawyer goes after these people let us know and we can work with you on a class action suit.

I got a call from this number this afternoon.  This is the first time and I was curious who it was.  I do not answer any of these calls.  For months I have been getting all kinds of calls from 877 & 866 phone numbers.
They never leave a message.

Called me twice today one right after the other. I answered the first one and nobody was on the line. I answered the second call right away and simply hung up on them! :-)

I got a call from them (866-834-3131) this evening. I didn't pick up the phone. They didn't leave a message. I believe they used to call here about once per day for a month or two last year about this time.

I just got a call from this number yesterday asking to speak with me, I thought it was a collection agency waiting on my  payment from college. UGH. so I stated she (me) didn't live here. They asked if a parent of Jentel available before I could say no the call was disconnected. A bunch of stalkers if you as me

I have been getting calls every single night for the past week so far from (866-834-3131) around 5pm/6pm.  I keep missing the call so I had to research the # online and found this page, explaining more clearly that this is most likely a pain in the ....ss solicitation.  My number is on the Do Not Call Registry and yet I'm getting this call daily...what gives?

1-866-834-3131 just called me asking personal questions like what year did I graduate high school.  Do I need money for college.  Never once did they tell me where they were calling from and I asked many times.

I called the number back and got a v/m.  I told them to remove our phone number from their call list. We'll see if the calls continue.

I've been receiving these calls for the last 3 days.  They always call while I'm at work so I do not answer.  Never leaves a message.  I'm glad I googled the # 8668343131.  I know definitely not to answer it EVER!!  Appreciate everyone letting others know what is going on.  By the way, I am on the National Block list and I'm still getting the calls.
