- AbbyI get a call from 1-000-000-0000 (on the caller ID) every once in a while. Somebody leaves a message, but does not identify themselves. They leave a call back number on the message though, and it's 1-866-842-8857. I refuse to pick up a call that so obviously screens any identifying info from Caller ID, and I will never return a call of somebody who will not properly identify themselves.
- TGCalled my cell. Left no message. Called back, they identified themselves as Nationwide Recovery Service. I don't know what they want to recover as I have no outstanding debt. I think it's a auto phone dialer that is dialing my number by mistake. Not sure how to get it removed. I'll take the call next time and see if I can get a resolution.

The sad thing is, it was not a recording leaving the message on the machine. They individual said they were ADEP, Calvary something. and repeated the number for someone to call.

- JessicaThey have been calling me for quite several years. I can not remember if it has always been the same number. I know they are trying to collect on medical debt(s). I just ignore them. I am in a payment plan w/ the hospital to repay the debts. They are on my credit report as well because when the hospital turned my account over to them Nationwide in turn reported it.

- RCIt's Nationwide Recovery. They call me every month because of hospital payment I couldn't make years ago that I have been paying on every month for at least 5 years now. I'm not answering because I've already told them over and over that they will get the same payment from me each month until I can pay off the balance and I haven't failed to do that yet. Sometimes the caller ID will say "thrift store" so watch out for that as well.

- Lisa| 2 repliesThey are a sorry company. my husband is a veteran, and the VA is responsible for paying the remainder of any balance of medical bills. on the other hand. they guy that I spoke was very rude. I keep telling him that the VA is responsible for paying his bills.. he kept on ignoring me. and kept on making repeat me self. till I had enough of his attitude. telling me that I responsible for seeing that the VA keeps up with making sure that my husbands bill are paid.. maybe I missed something here. but the staff at our local VA. receive a check to do there job. there for, I do not see how it is any of my responsibility to make the pay his bills.. of all the nerve of people in this world today. my husband is disabled. I am the only one that is able to take care of him.. and to think that I feel the need to do someone else's job. is insane.

- Lisa replies to LisaI am not doing someone else's job. when they sit on there butts and collect a check to not do there jobs. perhaps they would like to give me there check.. since I being claimed to be responsible for making sure they do there job. this is insane.
- MelissaAt 2pm, I received this call they asked for me by name. I said speaking. They then proceed to attempt to verify ü home address. I advise them I'm not going to advise them anything until I know who are. She the. Tells me I can take down her name and number to verify them. I said seriously lady. I work in law enforcement. I deal with these kind of compliants from citizens on a daily basis. If you can't tell me who you are. Them I refuse to give you any type if personal information. About me. She then tells me. I can tell you what your birthday is or last emplore was and your social. I said great And for an extra 10 bucks you could prolly get my parents stuff too. She said we have that. Well great. I'm still not telling you who I am. Who are you. This is where she hesitated a little. She finally said nationwide recovery. I said what are you trying to recover. She said debt. Now the only debt I have is a house note that is on time or chase would be on me faster than flies on crap or a medical bill that I'm paying on an installment plan that will be done with in 2 months. So I told her I'm not verifying any person information with you until you send me something in the mail and you can go ahead and not call me back. I think I heard a few cuss words in there while I was taking a call and had to remove the phone from my ear. I got back on the phone she said if you won't verify who you are them I'll have to disconnect this call. I said why didn't you do that in the first damn place you moron. And by the way harassing calls are still against the law. If you continue to do so I shall begin a process on my end that will not only cost you money but will make me win. I heard a few more blah blah while I hung up

- TracyCalled me looking for my EX HUSBAND.. Apparently he left my number with them.. Gave them his number to call and had them remove my number
- TiredI generally don't answer numbers I don't know. They put you on hold with a recording that says please continue to hold....I hung up. I believe they are debt collectors. I do have some medical bills. Some which I do not feel I owe due to extenuating circumstances and then a couple that I was paying but because I couldn't afford to give them all the money at once they turned me over to collections. I was paying them between $50 and $100 a month...I am on SS and that amount meant less food, etc. for me, but I felt I owed it. Now that they decided to be AH and the collection company harasses me by calling on numerous different numbers I no longer feel the need to rush to pay them. I would have continued to pay had they not turned it over to collections making my life even more difficult than it already is.
- Caller: Not sure but believe Nationwide Recovery

- DeDefinitely collecting medical bills. My husband is disabled and thank goodness finally on Medicare. However, between copays and the percent not covered, I am drowning in medical debts. One lady was very nice and told me about payment holiday for my car payment so maybe I could get my feet back on the ground. Another told me I was a liar and they would get their money. I simply told her there wasn't but $3 left in my account and I had not even paid my power bill yet - there was no way I could give them $50 every month.
